While m0o sudgest that they are not an allies, they do come to the beck and call of the alliance. This is off their official forums: They can try to deny this all they want however facts are fact :) Cheers guys, oh and BTW: So everyone knows stain is the richest place in the game, and they are hoarding mucho ark and bistot there. However, there are many corps out there we have not had contact with. The following are the rules we have used so far to get the stnadings we have and are also the same rules we have used to get the corps we now have in the allaince. 1) Check corp tag on unidentified pilot 2) make sure that corp does not allready have a standing defined on the corp standings post, and make sure they are not in the stain-alliance 3) Once confirmed that there has been no contact made with this corp, then see how many members they have in their corp. 4) If the corp has more than 20 members then you must attempt to negotiate. (If they are in a corp with less then 20 members then go to step 7).) Be friendly and explain that they are in a region controlled by a strong alliance. And if they wish to settle in this region they need to be accepted into the alliance. 5) If the new contacted pilots responds well to this negotiations then we are on the right path. If they have plans to settle in stain then at this point they must get their CEO in touch with an alliance corp CEO so the negotiations can continue between upper management. 6) If the new contacted pilot does not respond well to this then they must leave the region, and as they are in a corp larger than 20 members you will need to contact an officer in your corp to arrange proper military action to get them out of the region. 7) For corps less than 20 members, we dont want them in th

So you can tell them this fact and ask them to leave region. You may move them out with force if needed, as some will not be nice about it. But it is not needed to kill all corps under 20 member count . Many are more than happy to leave once they become aware of the regional allaince. And letting and unwanted corps leave region safely will often get them out faster than if you have to run them out with force. 8) note on smaller corps: some small corps may be really cool and they too may get a positive standing even though they can not join alliance. And it is these positive standings that will allow a corps to join the regional allaince later on when they get a bit bigger. As always if some one repeatidly ignores your attempts to communicate. You may need to get their attention with your guns. Even then this may only start dialog and may not lead to that pilots death. So really try to talk to these larger coprs you come across in the region even if you have to try a fews ways to start them talking. You will find also large corps that are not planing to settle this region and are just looking around. And if they are friendly and deal well with first contact well, they they can get a positive standing. SO they may move a few pilots in and out of the region. But if they want to settle in the region in they must make contact and begin negotiations to join regional allaince. These rules of engagement are not set in stone. and these rules only apply to first contact made with a corp in stain region. But I think it has gotten us more friends than enemies and this is how we have arrived at the current standings list in the corp standings post. And this is how we have gotten all the corps we now have in the regional allaince. Also some of your pilots may not be the best person to make first contact with an intercepted corp in stain. If you anticipate a first contact and your corp will mostlikely make that contact then try to send some one with patience and an understanding of theses general rules of engagement. It will help aviod uneeded incidents. And please after these first contacts send the info of the contact along so we can start negotiating them in to the alliance or set them a positive or negative standing based on that first contact encounter. Thank You more to come Lothaar communication/recruitment more more .... After a first contact, a corp will be given a standing based on how well that first contact went. These are the general standings and their description. big corp = more than 25 members small corp = less then 25 members 5.0 A big corp that is intercepted in our region and is friendly and wants to join the alliance. They will be 3.0 untill they are accepted in to he alliance. 2.0 A big corp that is intercepted in our region and is friendly, but does not plan to settle in stain ... they are just passing through and seeing whats around. This corp will also understand that they can not move into the region as a whole untill they negotiate into the alliance. -5.0 A big corp that is intercepted in the region and is found to be hostile through first contact. -1.0 A small corp that is intercepted in the region and when told to leave, they comply with no hostilities. -5.0 A small corp that is intercepted in the region and when told to leave, they are hostile and must be forced out by military action. -20.0 Any corp that is overly hostile and profain in a manner that would warrent "kill on sight" engagement. So after you apply the rules of engagement it will be apparent what type of corp it is and it will fall into to one of these standings above. It is important that you understand that not every one with a negative standing is a threat and needs to be killed. There will be many corps at -1.0 and as long as they are not in our region they willl not be attacked. For if they are at -1.0 that means they did not respond in a hostile manner and complied with our request that they leave the region. Having corps at a -1.0 standing just makes it easy to see them cause they will pop up on your threat scanner as yellow. And many of these corps may get larger and then decide to join the alliance or just be a large friend at 2.0 standing, so I encourage you to be as lienient as posible when having first contacts with small cops in stain region. Second contact with corp at -1.0 in stain might need to involve confirming that they are headed out and if this is obvious they should be left alone. But repeated spotting might escalate thier standing from -1.0 to - 2.0. The worse the standings get the harsher they will be treated untill they leave the region. Same thing with big corps that are at 2.0 and mabey start to settle into stain with out getting in alliance. Their standing might got to 1.0 or 0.0. Finally it would go ne

After much deliberation, we concluded that Stain was just too far from our main customer base. We then respectfully backed out of the alliance with nothing but amicable feelings on both sides. On another note, from what I gathered from our brief realtionship, M0o is NOT running the SRA. Oberon-Inc FEAR MY EMOTICONS

The relationship is just a non-aggression pact. m0o members that encounter ships are supposed to check for the Stain Alliance tag. However if the m0o member is trigger happy enough and the ship is attractive enough target such as unescorted indy, then they have a tendency to shoot and pod first and ask questions later. Corp chat is always interesting right after that happens. :D "**ing m0o!!! They just podded me!!! Why aren't they checking tags again!!!" But cooler heads usually prevail and generally the corp will get the mineral cost of the ship back. Huron Gradient**
Strade	Posted - 2003.06.13 19:07:00 - [12] I notice you mentioned the mineral costs of the ship, nothing about the cargo etc... also, interestingly enough I saw a post by someone on EVE-I that M0O and M3G4 formed an alliance and attacked the stain alliance last night- It'd be interesting if true considering both are considered "part" of the alliance (or at least allowed to operate in region).

It said in the post that recent additions to the alliance were omega, someone, and someone else. Omega Corp is not part of the Stain Alliance. We have our own alliance to handle. We are neighbors within the region but we are not part of the Stain Alliance.

I suspect that after the joint SA & OC action against m3g4 last night where m3g4 lost a large number of ships and were forced into hiding that they may have some alterior motives behind these ridiculous claims. Yes, if you come to Stain with trouble on your minds it will be dealt with. If on the other hand you're an honorable corp, talk to the SA or C4 corps and become part of something that will not tolerate the low lifes of the universe. Griefers will find greener pastures elsewhere or be laid to rest in one.

It is a complex mulitcorporate structure that is constantly changing.We are still at the begining of this game and there will be many more developements. I am the public relations officer for the allaince and I am one of its founders. And I can say that alot of the information in this post is outdated and incorrect. And even if I were to try to give you corective information there is a good chance it would be different by the time you read this. I had not planned to adreess the EVE community yet on the stain alliance as I am very busy with its developement and I wanted to have a more complete picture to present. Things are still changing from day to day. Unfortunatley, Smoked has taken private information from our private allaince forums and posted them here. And he now has created a very distorted view of the stain allaince. So if you want to get a better understanding of what we are as an alliance and what our plans are then I urge you to contact me and I will try my best to explain. I can also send you our complete rules of engagement which I drafted for the allaince as well as information on what a corporation would need to do to start negotiations to join the alliance. Over all the stain allaince tries to make more friends than enemies. And even the outdated info smoked posted will illustrate that. Investigate us for yourselves and form an opinion based on first hand information, rather than second hand, outdated onformation, from a person whos corp was crushed by stain allaince forces. This is a complicated game, and you can be a first level thinker and have someone else tell you whats going on or you can be a multi level thinker and find out for yourself. My office is now officialy open to the EVE universe.I hope to hear from many of you and even if you do not want to move to stain and join the stain allaince I still urge you to check us out in the hopes that we might develope good relations for the future. This post may generate alot of responses so please be patient and I promise I will get to you.
