Do you play windowed and did you have another window partially obscuring some part of the Eve window?

This bug is known for a long time. It is only the long minor bugs list. Screenshots only work in fullscreen mode.

Well, the screenshot function is supposed to write an image file. This works in full screen mode. However, in window mode no file is written but you get an exception. If exceptions are turned of you will not see it. The windows clipboard works without client interaction. That's why you get the screenshot there.

Me too.
What you do to workaround is having your destop set at a higher setting then your Eve window.
Eg, play EvE in 1024, and have your desktop in 1152.
works for me :)

I seem to remember that when having clipboard open then everything you copy or cut gets saved there.
So my questions are.
How do I find the clipboard to open it?
Need full info on how to find it since i have just about enough knowlage to turn on my pc and install programs, not much more than that

Clipboard viewer on Win XP (and 98se) is clipbrd.exe so you should be able to kick that off using Run, with this running you should be able to save the screenshot image from the clipboard as a file.
Otherwise use paint or some other program where you can paste the image from the clipboard.
Using "Alt + Print Screen" will only take a screen shot of the active window (and if you have the window header bar positioned up, out of sight, on your monitor then that part will be clipped off the image).
The only disadvantage (as compared to using full screen mode) is that you may have to save your image before you take another shot.

I play with the same width, smaller height, and make sure that no part of the vertical window border is visible, so every pixel of the EVE screen is displayed, and screenies work just fine. |
