Anyways, yesterday I decided to look how Mordu's Legion was doing and send my destroyer on a 22jump run. Thankfully, I expected not to survive, so only had crap gear installed, so me getting popped, not such a big deal.
What did strike me as odd where a few things, which I would like to have cleared up.
1. Is there anywhere I can see who killed me? They did such a good job I was back as a clone in no time. 2. After checking the map, it said something called "Travel Advisory". Does that mean people have been podded in that sector? 3. If second is true, then this question is for the gate campers. Doesnt it get boring just waiting for a gate for something to come through? Especially if Travel Advisory advises people that there are gate campers/podders around? How do you keep the game interesting?

Man thats a bummer ^_^ Sucks you got podded, sorry to hear that :-/
1. You should have killmail in your character sheet, select kill log: Losses.
2. Probably :P
3. 95% of people in this game only play to ruin the game for everyone else, they don't care about their enjoyment or anyone elses, as long as people like you ( No offense ) make themselves killable, they will be there to do the honors.

No, travel advisories warn you of bugged system in which you risk staying stuck.
If you are interested by recent pod kills there is a map setting to see them, it's not that interresting.
You'll see pod kills all over highsec for one, doesn't mean it is dangerous for you, just people fighting their wars.
Huge red blobs of pod kills in lowsec or 0.0 may be a camp or just a big engagement between willing participants. -- Heat, easy to burn your mods by mistake, hard to get it to work when you need it the most. Well designed interface CCP! |

Edited by: PirLanTota on 06/05/2008 09:14:13 Thanks for the info guys....Also, is mission running in 0.0 worth it or just stick to High / low sec space?
The reason is, I am interested in getting my skills up a bit more and getting my rep up with mordu's legion. Now, since I fly destroyers with only t1 stuff, not that expensive to replace, I was wondering if its easy to make a bit of money and break even after been hunted down from time to time

Bitter much?
But seriously, to answer the OPs questions:
1) Go to your character sheet, select "Combat log", select "Losses". Double-click your destroyer loss, and you'll get detailed information on who killed you.
2) It says "Traffic advisory" (I think), it means that there's a lot of traffic going in that system. It doesn't mean anything else normally, unless it's really heavy traffic, in which case the gate shuts down for a short while.
3) In my opinion, gate camping in lowsec (especially ninja style in cruisers) can be fun for a short while, but it really gets boring very fast unless you catch shuttles with Estamel stuff in it. Only good to camp if there's really nothing else going on. In 0.0, it also has a tactical point - keeping systems you hold sovereignity in clear of scouts or something - but I don't know much about 0.0, so I might be wrong.

Mordu LP store not that hot afaik, and not huge choice of agents and station to say the least, missioning for serpentis for snae implants is where it's at afaik.
And don't expect to survive in 0.0 being in state war academy, you want to be blue to at least some of the locals. |

NPC 0.0 seems to be quite hostile, it has a lot of roaming pirate gangs. The best you can do is join a corp/alliance that "holds" NPC 0.0 space. You will probably have to fight a lot, but mission running in 0.0 is way more fun than in highsec. Rewards are a bit better, and, if you run for the pirate factions, it's a lot better, since their LP stores have shiny stuff like snake implants (Serpentis offer these iirc).
If you keep on flying small stuff like frigs/destroyers/cruisers, you might be able to do it on your own, as it will be really hard to scan you out in deadspace if you don't use drones. Just decline missions in open space, and you'll be fine. |

Running missions for serpentis isn't going criminal , it's going carebear
Pirating people in lowsec is going criminal. |

if you want to run the mordus missions in 5-Z, might be worth joining one of the corps/alliances that operate out of its station - that way people are less likely to shout "NEUTRAL KILL IT!" and let you mission run in peace.
Alliances/corps i know of that run out of that area are - Power of 3 Alliance, YTMND Alliance, prophets of a damned universe Corporation and The Fourth District Alliance.
Try your luck with one of them. |

GoonSwarm does not make up 95% of the entire EVE community. In addition to goons, maybe 5% of the people have made this their personal mission. The rest are just playing pirates, and pirates blow things up to make a profit - that is all. When I blow something up, I really don't care if it ruined that guy's whole gaming experience and made him slit his wrists. I do care that I had a run fight and got a few mil for his T2 loot. (I can't wait til I kill someone faction fitted for the first time, I'm SO gonna post it here so C&P can flame me for posting an insignificant kill).

Maybe not I pay 90m a pop for low grade centurion implants. Frankly I have no idea if I'm over paying as I only have one source and its a very kinda niche thing.

It is only overpaying if you can find someone who is selling it for less.

Usually they are on voice chat, they may be conversing with a scout in another system, or they listen to music. Doesn't it get boring just running missions and waiting for the storyline, or mining and waiting for a full can?

Centurions are ecm range implants. I only have 2 in at the moment but they increase my racial range from 151 to 168, when I am in my falcon. I have also used them along with the ecm range rigs to get multispectral's out over 150km. |

Ah, that I can get into. Pizza on the side, good music playing, bit of BS-ing on the chat and the occasional popping of the poor sod (or dumb idiot) that comes through a gate...I think i see your point :D |
