The graphics shall hold 5 years for sure.
So if we continue to experince the increase of EVE's quality, in 5 years time we will have the most advanced MMORPG of all time. The most complex and exciting game ever.

Hmmm, i think there is a flaw there - the graphics will NEVER be up to any standard in 5 years time... just think about games released 5 years ago and now and there is no comparason. Eve would be fantastic in 5 years story wise, but it will need a grahical up date during that time, at least once.
(PS if that wasnt wat u meant about the graphics then ignore that bit)

If graphics are to be updated, then that could be done with a patch (a big patch though).
However, better PC technology still means that Eve can look much cooler with just having improvements with framerates and pixel numbers.

Hmmm... the graphics. Even though the grafics COULD be much better, or atleast more advanced, I don't think there is much need for it. The advancements in grafics the last 3 years, well, they have been great, but when you look at them they arn't as revolutionary as if you go back 3 more years and compare them.
It's an intresting thought, Eve in 5 years. I doubt I will be playing it. I think they almost have to start another server. How is a 4 month caracter be able to compete with a 4 year in PvP?

* in a dev chat someone mentions that the security status is slightly bugged since castor. TomB denies to have ever heard about it.

I will have 98,876,390,238 research points in caldari starship and still no blueprint.
orbitting will have been fixed and bugged a total of 56 times.
TankCEO will have a lot of skillpoints and he will make sure everyone knows how much.

the backbone of the game, just general mechanics are interesting because they are different from any others on the market. i know that during the development, EVE changed and improved its graphics engine considerably several times, so i would expect CCP to upgrade the engine if the current one is to become obsolete. I think EVE is going in the right direction, even though its more like a turtle race...In five years time i would expect EVE to be what was advertised on the box, no offense to the Devs...

The alliances will have actual claim to space, there will be jovians and the 6th 'pirate race' of people floating about. We will have tier 5 battleships, cruiser, frigates, elite versions of all that. We will have numerous player owned stations, that nice 100k online player number. There will be a few titans flying about. 0.0 space will be as habitated as 1.0 space is. There will be many more wars in empire as people kill each other to get the saught after veldspar roids because there will be 300+ people in the 1.0's. And other random stuff like that.
