Here's proof
CCP, why do you allow this to happen?
Again goons are trying to destroy your own game, killing our game experience AND now trying to rig the elections?
I demand this representative to be expelled from the election now!
How can we vote for a representative knowing he's trying to cheat? How can someone claim to be honest and trustfully person when proof show otherwise?

Another reason why this person must be removed from the candidates list.
Not only he's not trustworthy, hidden agenda, trying to rig the elections and getting his alliance weigh behind him.
So you see any honesty in this? i don't.

You consider gathering support from people in your Alliance as 'rigging an election' ?
Are you serious ?
what about a Candidate using an Alt to bump their own threads in the Jita Park section, show support for their main and telling people not to vote for another candidate?

No, I don't see any honesty.
But what do you expect? An alliance have shared interest, thus it's logical with blockvoting. Same happens in RL elections. Please go tell the world that it's broken.
What IS broken is that the goonies could potentially grief the council.

Maybe that's just because he is missing a bit of grey matter upstairs or sumthin'. :P

Worst case?
There's four goons running, right? Alright, lets see then, brainfarting time.
Worst case: The four goons wait around at the arrival gate at the airport in Icelandicland. They identify and kidnap the five other CSM under the false pretense of recruiting them for a 9 seat taxi.
They take the five kidnappees out into the Icelandi wilderness, bury them in the sand dunes with only their heads poking up and a pair of chineese eating sticks to dig their way out.
The goons then proceed to the CCP building where one defecates outside in the lovely green hedge. Alerted by the strange smell from their garden, the devs come out to greet the CSM and learn that only four "had time" to come.
Some greetings later they find themselves in the CCP briefing room where the unsuspecting devs go through their latest plans point by point. Little do they know of the danger at hand.
The goons sit and wait. Downtime comes and the servers go offline. The goons strike.
An hour later the devs are missing, the Eve Server Cluster thoroughly humped by a local dog that slipped in while none was watching and the actual game itself is rewired granting Goons Jove ships and a penetration-proof Deathstar called Ted. |

I may not be the GS candidate but i know the people involved and they harbor no ill will towards CCP or the game.
Furthermore, goons win when goons log on and fight. Such, its in our best interests to make the game as fun as possible.
They share the same drive to make the game good and fun as I do, though obviously i think i am better at doing that than they are.

Im not a goon lover, as a matter of fact, last time I got blown up and podded was by a Goon, BUT I see nothing wrong with Goons voting for other Goons that are running for CSM, it seems natural to support your leaders and friends.

Yeah this one is a bit of a fail in the drama bomb stakes. Darius is probably unwise to talk of his strategy "rigging" anything since its just electoral tactics not anything inherently shady. Basically he wants multiple Goon candidates on the CSM to increase the voting power of the Goons. Not exactly startling news to anyone who has followed the history of Goonfleet in Eve.
All this topic shows is that Darius believes Goonfleet is more organized and motivated than rival entities (and the general eve public) and this means he has an opportunity to get at least 2 candidates into the CSM by the Goon primary winner's voting block (Bane Glorious) and his own slice of the internal pie + whichever non Goons he can talk into voting for him.
If you don't like Darius' strategy simply don't vote for him. Force the Goons to rely on their internal block vote only and you'll probably limit Goons to only one vote on the CSM. If you don't want Goons to win the chairman of the council position then get voting for another non-Goon candidate and make sure as many of your own corp and alliance mates register meaningful votes as well.
Goons have a few thousands of votes in Eve. The rest of the community has 200,000.
Only voter apathy is going to deliver a Goon-dominated/Goon-Chairman council. Lets make sure it doesn't happen right?

Let's make the most long winded person known to humanity the chairman of a newly formed council with not-yet defined duties and powers, this surely can't go wrong and will ensure that the council will have practical responsibilities!

Defensive much Swamp Ziro?
Go have a nice cup of tea and chill out. We're all Eve gamers here and want the best for the game - no need for damage control, I just pointed out your leader isn't really "rigging" anything, just hoping to win the benefits of a drone voting block in an environment of potential voter apathy.
