How do I get through a gate camp? Im trying to reach a 0.0 sec station that is right on the edge of highsec space, but there are these guys that sit there all day long and pod me over and over.
Yeah I know this is a noob kinda thing to ask but what do I do? I need to get a jumpclone set up and this is the only spot that I know of to do this.

find an alternate route
or go right after down time. or late at night when few people are on. get a fast ship put a mwd and a cloak on it.
or if its just for a jumpclone grind out that 8.0 standing with agent missions.
its 0.0, border control is part of being in 0.0.

Edited by: minx trader on 07/05/2008 14:37:38 i use a buzzard, warp stabs, injector.
as soon as through gate your be cloaked, warp to zero, cloak immediately, i have got through bubbles this way as well.
down side, if there are a large number of ships, all with drones flying around, you still might not make it.
stick an ecm burst module on and a couple of multispec jammers
or go as soon as server starts up

This is a new player section, he probably isnt going to have access to cloaking devices for a long while.
You can get through a low-sec camp with a fast-aliging frigate (Instabs, Nanofibers, Evasive Maneuvers trained, Spaceship Command trained), but nullsecs are almost impossible due to warp bubbles and smart bombing.

- Make an alt and use him as a disposable toon to scout ahead with so you can see which gates are camped. Unfortunately without support from a corp, nullsec can not be navigated without metagaming. - Find alternative routes to the station you must reach. When one gate is heavily camped, another is usually left unchecked. Take the long way around! - If the station is the home base of a 0.0 corp you joined, ask them to attack the gatecamp so you can bust trough, or ask them to help you jump over it using a carrier. Any well organized 0.0 sec corp should have a carrier infrastructure for the explicit purpose of getting to its homebase without having to fight trough hostile territory. - If you not going to join a corp, consider finding another destination. 0.0 is an extremely hostile place for a player in an NPC corp. You will find that not being in a player corp will make you stand out like a leper (many people in 0.0 distrust NPC corp members due to the heavy use of noob corp scouts).

I'm 99.9% sure that I know where you're trying to get to.
There is another way in......it involves some low sec travel followed by a few 0.0 hops.
Get out the 2D maps and take a look at the region maps for the two regions in question. 2D Maps

First, be sure to check the map statistics for "ships destroyed in the last hour" and "average pilots in space in the last hour" (or half hour, whatever is smaller.) These statistics are not always accurate. I've been destroyed at gate camps in systems that were reported free of other pilots and free of ship kills, but nonetheless the statistics are accurate enough that you should always use this map feature when going into nullsec.
Next, fit an Executioner with a MWD and two overdrive injectors. Fly through the gate with this. If it's camped, wait twenty to thirty seconds cloaked, and then burn full speed back to the gate and get back into Empire. If it isn't camped, go back to Empire and grab your main ship as fast as you can, and then go into nullsec with that as planned.
Covert ops is okay, but if you come up against a really big camp they're probably going to decloak you via burning towards wherever they spot you the second you decloak from the gate and reactivate your covops cloak II. Then they'll launch drones which will decloak you and then melt you.
Something I do whenever I move out to nullsec for some extended ratting is to take a fast disposable ship (Executioner fitted as above, plus a prototype cloak), and set observation bookmarks several hundred KM off of the stargates in the area I'll be operating in. This may take an hour or two depending on how many systems you do it in, but it'll help keep you safe since large scram bubbles will suck you in from around 100km away, so you NEED bookmarks further than that from the gate.

All good advice - though this step is unnecessary as the OP just wants to get to the station to set up a jump clone, so he can proceed in the executioner if the coast is clear.
Baka - I'm curious, any particular reason why you don't want to name the system(s) involved? I can understand not spoon-feeding someone, and letting them discover the alternative route for themselves; but still, my main thought for not naming the system is so that people don't read it and go and camp the gate themselves. But if they want to take on the natives in that regard - I'm sure there will be some nice fireworks!
Given that you've posted advice on how to get there (and I expect you to be up on these things), I take it the station in question is still offering the standingless jump clone services after its recent turmoil?

There are jump clones on offer without standings, at least there were a week or two ago.
I don't want to spoon feed, but I also don't want to encourage griefers. The system is hard enough without that, but you're right, the locals would take care of them fairly quickly. The other path can be a lot better, but it's still 0.0 and has it's dangers. I'd still recommend a scout and a fast ship.
I also don't want to be responsible if someone in our corp pops someone....our Rules of Engagement are publicly available on our website and anyone is a target in 0.0.
