Also consider the issues of cap & fitting.

Qanael Radlari Caldari Kinetic Vector Intrepid Crossing	Posted - 2008.05.09 16:42:00 - [8] I use: 7 heavy launchers, mix of T2 and named (so they'll fit) 3 LSE IIs 3 T2 hardeners of choice (usually 1 invul, 1 primary, 1 secondary) 2 PDSs or SPRs depending on your choice of hardeners (i.e. it's easier to run specific ones than invuls), usually 1 of each 2 BCSs 3 Core Defence Field Purgers It can tank any L4 mission if you have a brain, and quite a few even if you don't (i.e. you aggro the whole room).

If you train the right skills you can perma run it with 106k EHP, and have a sustained defense efficiency of 911.

I have used several setups mostly based on 3X purgers and 3X LSE, plus active hardeners. Then apply 2 BCUs (a must with missile DPS and all) then 2 SPRs If you have 7x HML II some have trouble fitting. (Yes I understand EFT helps in this situation. It's the conclusions people reach that make me nuts because I fly the Drake and know some of the fits are crazy.) This fits but some don't like it because there are only 2 LSE in it. I threw on another invul field for kicks, and it has 59k EHP, and a sustained defense efficiency of 644. Can be perma run as well.

Similar to my 0.0 ratting setup though it's two invulnerability field II's for me personally since I have often not paid attention to local long enough to have an ishtar try to murder me. I have recanted my stance on the 2 LSE 2 Shield Recharger 2 Hardner theory for mission running however. I have found that 2 LSE 1 charger 3 hardners achieve a stronger tank should I be attempting level 4 missions and whatnot.

You can easily drop one shield recharger and add a point and not change fitting requirments. If you want a more proper PvP fit you can drop the rat specific hardener and add a MWD. Then I have to toss the SPRs (SPRs and MWD together are lol) for an RCU and a CPU thingie I think. If you try and put a web on a Drake then you have pretend tank I think. Flame me if I'm way off base but, trust me, it no longer bothers me.

Those extender rigs make for scary numbers. I just would never undock a Drake without at least one BCU, and that has a ripple effect on the whole set up scheme. My opinion.

Heh, the one I posted is 711 sustained/reinforced defense with uniform damage distribution with 73,532 effective HP. With my skills, not All Level V. With all Level V it's 790/790 with 80,356 eHP. Of course its DPS is pathetic, but I built it to take damage, not dish it out. - Support fixing the UI\|Suggest Jita fixes\|Compact logs
