If eve online is going to survive, new and balanced content (i'm not talking about barby doll online either) needs to be added. Here's some of my ideas.
Currently PvE is all out of wack. First of all there needs to be a reason to go to low and null. With multiple high sec incursions being available every day it's making low and null less and less viable as far as isk is concerned. This is one of largest balance issues in the game as far as I'm concerned. Incursions should be limited to low and null only, high sec incursions should be a rareity at least. There should never be a scenario where someone can create an incursion corp and never leave high sec. Too much reward with no risk. Now to combat that I think level 4 missions should be ramped up a bit as far as difficultly but also reward (however I think that reward should be in the form of loot and salvage). It should've never been possible for a macro to run level 4 missions in the first place. Maybe even incorporate mini games or stricter time limits to make them more fun.
As far as PvP is concerned, it needs a little retooling. First, shooting at ships in low sec should not drop your sec status and gate guns should not exist. You still can't pop pods (unless you really want to) and you still can't drop bubbles. Currently, if someone wants small gang PvP and doesn't want to deal with gatecamping blobs, sentry gun games, or having to kill rats for sec status, they have very few options if any.
Furthermore, I think it's about time for bounty hunting to become an actual profession. Consider this scenario. If someone engages you illegally (popping your pod in low sec or shooting your ship in high sec under the criteria I have suggested) you have kill rights on them for a set amount of time. Great, that's basically how it works now (except only for podding people). What if it were possible to set up a mercenary contract that would give someone else (beit just one person) an alotted amount of time to kill said person? They pop the pod, they get the isk. This also serves the purpose of keeping pvpers shooting other pvpers, and making suicide ganking much harder (you cant really sit on a gate yellow to insta pop industrials if people can just fly up and kill you) and also makes a bounty a little more meaningful as apposed to just a trophy.
Also, Tech III FRIGATES PLEEEZZZ. Just some ideas, figured I'd throw them in the pot. |

nerfing highsec will not make people go to lowsec, the problem is lowsec is near suicide to try doing anything unless ur alone in system. lowsec needs to change from random PVP to FW based.. make FW good people will to go lowsec people will build/transport stuff to lowsec = target for pirates |
