For you nano freaks:
High: 3 Drone Link Aug, 2 Med Nos, 1 Med Neut Med: Quad Lif Feul MWD (100 MN), Warp Disrupt II, Web II, Med Cap Inj II, Tracking Disrupt II Low: 2 Overdrive II, 1 Nano II, 2 x Reactor Cont II, 1 PDS II
You can max out speed with 3 Overdirve II and 3 Poly Carb.

Edited by: Dearest Wish on 10/05/2008 06:08:03 Don't know why you would want to Poly a T1 ship, but if you must if go more with something like this.
Overdrive Injector System II Overdrive Injector System II Overdrive Injector System II Capacitor Power Relay II Capacitor Power Relay II Damage Control II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Warp Disruptor II Stasis Webifier II Stasis Webifier II Small Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 200
650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M
Polycarbon Engine Housing I Polycarbon Engine Housing I Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Valkyrie II x5 Warrior II x5 Hammerhead II x5 Light Armor Maintenance Bot II x5
It perma runs without the Injector. It's just there in case you get nueted by a BS and need one final push to get out of range and warp off.
I don't really feel the Myrm is worth it since the nerf to its bandwidth.
Alternate Drone Config: Use the 2x Heavy, 2x Med 1x Light. Against heavier targets if you feel like sacrificing some of the other drones. I always fit a rack of Small Armor drones though. Helps the gang a lot post-fight.

It's also about as agile as a Titan, thus useless. Nice try, though.

3.5km/s vs 2.6km/s So I don't see how you think the Myrm is faster. The Ishtar also tanks harder, and can field a rack of Heavy drones. The myrm really cannot compare.

Because using the BS MWD gives you 4.6k m/s

Didn't even notice that. You realize MWD's add mass right? Fitting a 100mn MWD onto a Myrm will ensure it accelerates at about 4m/s. After about 30 minutes you might hit that 4.6km/s but I promise you'll be dead long before that.

Tested it, you hit above 2k in 10 sec and 35 - 40 sec to hit max speed.

Ummm....even genuine nano ships have a semblance of a tank. Your setup has nothing. Ah wait...the PDU buffs the tank a bit. --------- If the Thorax was a car it would look like this |

So whats the orbit speed then? Its not like you have a 50km scrambler fitted or anything. --

even bs should almost instalock you when you turn on your mwd, also you will not be able to sustain that speed when you want to stay in nos range. additionaly your mass will make it pretty hard to stay in this distance even if you don't orbit and while the tracking disruptor might help your drones to stay alive it most certainly won't help you This ship might be nice for a bc speed record, but it's pretty useless in a fight.

BC speed record goes to the Hurricane. See Nano Cane - Faster then Vagabond post.

Common mistake people make - Nano is not about speed.
You cannot dictate range with a 30 second align time; thus, this setup is not "nano".

also, for the sake of the argument, what stops you from doing that to the ishtar, apart from common sense? i mean, i see 3 fitting mods on that myrm, so why not just slap 3x rcu on the ish and create the same useless, but faster setup?
same goes for the vaga/cane thread btw.

Edited by: Lord WarATron on 10/05/2008 17:26:44 why do you even bother fitting a scram etc since its a unrealistic setup? Are you trying to break a speed record insted of a realistic setup?
Its as useful as the RCU filled tach II harbringer or those people who put together cargo expander titan setups etc. --

Always fit scram and web cause you never know if you will run into a Hauler. Then you kick yourself for not having it

Except hauler can outmanouvre you easily. Id guess even freighter can warp out before you manage to approach him to put point on it.

Not necessarily EFT warriors, just the dumb ones.
The fact that this fitting comes out with about a 47-second align time even with all skills maxed should probably suggest that it's not nearly as agile as one might hope from a so-called "nano" ship... What are you going to do, orbit at 145km?

The only reason one would ever put a battleship size mwd on a smaller ship is for show to break speed records. They are completely useless as combat ships. I can't decide if these are trolling threads or you seriously believe that you can use these in actual Eve combat.
