If you're using tacklers in gang, and you fight in a spread-out group, same fit as PvE. If you need serious firepower but tackling is taken care of, MWD+HAMs, extender rigs instead of purgers, rest same as PvE. If nobody else handles tackling, don't bother with a Drake, there are better options.

No, replace the uber tank with something that the fleet benefits from, like sensor damps. Keep some tank but you sitting in a ship that deals **** all dmg and is shot at last because it takes 5 years to kill doesn't help anyone, not even yourself and your wallet, because you are gonna die after your gang is dead.

Good point, no harm using two EWar mods and keeping just 4 meds for tank.

Depends, do you plan on fighting on a gate in .4?

What z0de's asking is " do you want to just catch and gank defenseless haulers, or do you plan to actually fight some combat ships too? "

I was curios to see how much I needed to tank the sentry gates alone. I'm no pirate, my corp is specifically anti-pirate

Sentries usually kick out about 350dps spread across all damage types iirc. A Drake can tank that and still have room for a disruptor. Problems arise though if your target shoots back, decides to just fly away from you, or has any sort of tank.

Preferred solo setup:
Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Power Diagnostic System II
Stasis Webifier II Large Shield Extender II Invulnerability Field II Invulnerability Field II 10MN MicroWarpdrive II Warp Disruptor II
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile [empty high slot]
Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I
Hornet EC-300 x4 Hornet EC-300 x1
For some extra tank, swap out a BCS with a DC2.
Not sure about the gate gun question, as it depends on how many of you agress. The more the better, as the gate guns will switch targets. Also, swap to t1 drones and use as a buffer against gate guns, as they will shoot the drones first. If you're solo and taking gate gun fire, I probably wouldn't engage anything bigger than a cruiser, but tbh I don't fight in low sec too often.
PVE Drake is PVP is just.. wrong BTW, unless you're using it as bait. Unfortunately a lone drake just *screams* bait.

High: 7 x HAM II (kinetic rage/javelin), 1 x Small NOS (or leave it empty) Med: 10mn MWD II, 24km Scram, Web, Invuln, 2 x LSE II Low: 2 x BCU II, 1 x DCU II, 1 x Power Diagnostic System II Drones: 5 x Warrior II Rigs: 2 x Core Defence field Extender, 1 Ancillary Current Router
How to use: 1. Fly into targets face 2. Fill face with HAM
can swap the DCU with another BCU for 600+ dps, and extra giggles.
(edit: pretty much the same as those posted before )

Edited by: Eardianm on 10/05/2008 22:34:24 Don't bother with a HAM Drake under sentries for more than hauler ganks, or maybe a solo cruiser. Anything more and you're going to be in deep ****. I'd go with something closer to a standard passive layout if you're solo under sentry fire. --------------

Edited by: Hannobaal on 11/05/2008 00:25:49 You don't have to have Heavy Assaults on a pvp Drake. With a few damage mods fitted, dps with heavies is still half-way decent (up to 500 is possible with maxed skills), and it makes it a lot easier to fit.

well lets take this topic as it is a pvp drake setup.
I am looking for a setup with normal heavy luanchers. atm cannot use tech 2 working on it. and not to expensive. (say tops 100-120mil)
atm i use.
high Some named luanchers 3th best i belive costed aa mil each.
mid 2 best named LSE (lack skill also work on it) ivu II active EM and term harder II named AB tanks to lacking grind for a 3th LSE
lows 2BCU II 2 SPR II
rig CDFP I
peak recharge around 100 shield/s lowest reist is Kin at 66.4 so hey need about 300+ kin dps to break my tank.
i use caldari navy kin missles and get about 200 dps at 70 km range.
except for skills what can be upgraded? and what would be a good setup if i had tech 2 luanchers and tech 2 LSE.
thanks in advance. (and yes i have looked around for 30min but couldn't find anything like mine)

7 x HML II (hams aren't worth the PG hit imo), Caldari Navy Kinetic Missiles Optional Cloak
2 x LSE II 2 x invuln II 1 x 24 km scram 1 x 10mn AB II (MWD if I can fit it)
2 x BCU 2 x SPR
1 x em rig 1 x therm rig 1 x CDFP I
5 x Warrior II or light ECMs
I'd consider trading a BCU II for a DCU II and replacing the thermal rig with a damage rig, comments?

mm only 41.42 shield/s peak recharge. and no to high resists.
I am kinda scary of anything els CDFP in the rig because that recharge saves your life.

hmm, that with 2 x CDFP I and 1 x em rig would be a pretty solid setup I think. --

Indeed, I'm just to cheap to put extender rigs on a BC, I save them for my cerb and raven. If you're going to go all out, I'd just use 3 extender rigs instead of the em resist rig.
