Bryg Philomena Green Lantern Corps	Posted - 2008.05.10 16:29:00 - [1] I have been thinking of forming a corp whose sole goal, is to suicide gank. Primarily freighters. The idea: Create a large amount of isk, to supply its members with the ships and fittings, to continually suicide gank frieghters regardless of loot inside. Who thinks this is a good idea. Exxxotic	Posted - 2008.05.10 18:18:00 - [4] the biggest problem would of course be the sec status as said about, if u have access to ratting grounds and get enough pilots to rotate the ganks, then one lots ganks, the other rats, then the gankers go rat and the ratters gank etc it could be workable.

Bryg Philomena Green Lantern Corps	Posted - 2008.05.11 01:17:00 - [10] I'll write up a plan, and corp rules, and see how they work with the interested peps and find some nice 0.0 space, preferably in some NPC controlled space near a station =] I was thinking as the basis, all loot goes into a corp hanger, gets sold (discount to those in corp) isk generated is then payed out back to the members of the gank with about a 10% tax to the corp. This way members recieve liquid isk for their work and the 10% goes into new ships/fittings. Corp also has BS BPC's and minerals in 0.0 space of choice, so as to replace those lost in normal 0.0. Well, seems like there is plenty of interest, so I will set up the corp, and work out the diplo relations for 0.0. My guess is a near merc permadec situation eventually. Hell I'd throw the n00b mercs at em just for giggles. If it was just an isk gathering ploy, then I wouldnt care a bit. It's all in the intent.

They could charge people for freighter permits and just suicide everybody who didn't pay. However, a business like this requires not only deep pockets and lots of manpower, it requires people to be "on duty" and put long hours into the project. People in MMOs aren't typically going to commit and stay steadfast to a business function or "job" for more than a week. As for anybody smaller than a 1000+ man alliance, it isn't going to work because you can't cover any significant % of the systems and fight off the inevitable mercenaries at the same time. ---------------- [insert signature here]

Then end goal, when we have the man power would be blowing up frieghters for **s and giggles. Mercs shouldnt be a problem tbh. We will have scouts as it is. We will just log on as a freighter is inbound, pop it, we all die anyway. Anyhow, yes, I have decided on a section of 0.0 that will be easily accessible, and can even be run in an interceptor for safety. After all you just need to kill 1 bs every 20m per system. And its just on the boarder of high sec, so it will be easy. I started the corp, and am having an alt give it good skills to hold a significant amount of pilots, then I will hand it over to one of my mains to be CEO and run it. Corp name is Rags 2 Riches. I wrote up a small outline about the corp. Quote: Rags 2 Riches is dedicated to using its raw power to suicide gank all ships it wants. The primary focus will be the suicide gank of freighters, industrails, mission *s, and anything carrying expensive cargo. End Goal: Destruction of any and all freighters within our crosshairs. After that it will be made available to the public. I mean personally we do our own catalyst suicide gangs against corp hoppers, but I'm sure there would be plenty of people willing to save a bit of time grinding sec status back for a few isk. This has a new corp with the name "kamikaze" incorporated into the title somewhere written all over it to be honest! It's a niche in the market. You'd have to get a steady crew together, which we know is a pain at times. Then you have a trust issue, not with you per se, since I know you, but when you have people you don't know very well, there is a good likelyhood for ninja looting I would think. As others pointed out, sec status will eventually be a problem as well. Personally I think you're better off making a channel of likeminded individuals and coordinating your efforts to achieve your goal. That will help offset possible hassles with war decs and also help relieve the issue with sec status a bit since other people can still rat in their current space. It also might open it up to more people since I think there's a lot of people who would be down for this, but might not join up because they like where they're at. I know if you asked any of my guys with sec status to spare, I am sure they would be down for a gank or three.

So, new part, is yes you can participate in this without joining, but it will make it much harder to track the loot. Hence why a corp would be much more effecient. I mean you would get a few mods worth selling, sell it, and divy it up between the number participants. I mean I have scored some high ISK kills and participated with other corps on those kills and I took the loot and sold it, then sent the parties their ISK. Realistically, how many takedowns are you going to do in a day? I can't imagine it being a huge machine chalking up tons of kills, and gobs of loot to the point where you're losing track of who is owed what. Keep us updated on how it works out though. If I get a chance to get my sec status to a safe level I would be down for some suicide gankage.
