Have you ever watched 30 frigates pop as they tried to kill your armor tanked Impel? :)
Transports are slow as dirt, but they are _the_ choice for high value loads too big for a battleship, but not really large. The fitting below has 5000 m3 capacity with lvl 5 skills and over 70,000 effective hp and well over 350 defense rating, and cap stable with charges, 6 minutes without.

well - there are two types of transports
...the 'heavy' one (impel eg) ...the 'fast' one (prorator eg)
the bonus for the 1st type is ok, because it supports their 'role' (imo)
however the 2nd type would benefit more of other boni than rep/boost bonus and with the introduction of hics the +2 warpstrength bonus seems to have lost 'some' usefullness too. ---
