Mr. Momaki,
While I agree a little with your sentiment about translators, I must point out that some words and phrases do not have suitable substitutes in (some) other languages. In some situations, the miscommunications created by having them translated anyway could lead to more disparity, not less. I've seen it happen.
Edit: Moderation is key, of course. Very few man-made rules, if any, are without exceptions. Nightmares - A short story by Ch+¬ Biko |

Mr. Momaki,
I think you inspired me to change part of my life. Or I think you did, I'm not sure, it might have been something on this thread, or it might have been something else. It could have been your erronous mention of the ammo dumping pilot that made me realize an inconsistency between my words and actions.
My corp claims to not "profit from death" (Taking certain missions, producing weaponry, etc.). But I used to sell all things I picked up from the wrecks I salvaged, but now I've started making exceptions: Now, instead of selling the lethal weapons and ammo I recovered, I will have them destroyed. Mr. Hakatain and others that grow tired of this thread,
While I can not be certain, I don't think Momaki is asking for recognition. I like reading his thoughts, and while I don't agree with the name and shame thing, other than that I find this thread a bright star in the black of this forum. It may even change my life, perhaps it already has.
Because of the prolonged existence of this thread, someone was inspired to save people from death cans himself, causing several hundred additional lives to be rescued. This can happen every time someone hears of one of these rescues. I hope that you'll be able to agree that you growing tired of this thread is a small price to pay, perhaps even a price you might gladly volunteer to pay, for the increase in saved lives.
Peace,

Fried cephalopod rings, Ston. And considering you forgot that already, I'm beginning to think you may not have refused to breathe smoke in the past.

Ston Momaki wrote:We here at DSTON tend to e'r on the side of practicality, but it could be a real boast to our Matriculation community to inject a bit more style even into the emergency clothing we provide to those we rescue. Perhaps this project could lift the spirits of people who have been through some tough times. A shirt with the print "I was saved by DSTON and I got this stylish t-shirt!"?

Funny thing: apparently I also picked up a Fedo during my rescues yesterday. Could this be some kind of plot to discourage us from doing our patrols? Is the C3SRC running on fluid routers that attract these creatures? Coordination Channel for Consolidated Space Rescue Cooperation Open Letter to the Aidonis Foundation Directorate |

Disciples of Ston,
While I can understand you may feel that the ends justify the means, I don't think that engaging in deception on a regular basis will improve your credibility, which is already questioned. Publicly discussing said deception may be transparent in it's own way, but a liar does not become more trustworthy by admitting he's a liar. I hope you take this into consideration and make wise decisions.

One tactic you could consider in situations with insufficient cargo space is transferring the people from the deathcan to a new container. Coordination Channel for Consolidated Space Rescue Cooperation Open Letter to the Aidonis Foundation Directorate |

Every bit helps. I'll add you to the operators list. I'll see if I can put some motivational stuff in the MOTD to get more updates. Frac, I'll do a patrol just to set the timestaps to something less depressing.

Sorry to dissappoint, Nauplius, but the Disciples are not your only enemies in this regard.
Would you like to become an enemy of Nauplius and help in the search and rescue patrols as well, contact me, and and I'll try to see your contribution to this cause is as efficient as it can be.
