Took part in my first patrol as a member of Ston's Disciples. I was saddened to find that I quickly discovered a can filled with abandoned innocents. I humbly put forward the following information to join the Wall of shame.
Pilot: Gamarr Altol, 15 lives Race: Amarr Corp: Imperial Manufacturing and Engineering Regiment
What struck me odd about this particular resuce was that the pilot, Gamarr Altol was loitering in the area. When I moved in to make the resuce I made sure to align myself to a starbase first. As I made the rescue the slaver locked weapons. I have little doubt that had I not aligned and warped immediately I would have taken fire.
I have to ask myself, are the slavers trying to bait us?

I will attempt to re-send this message.....communications have been hit or miss lately and I have no idea why, I will attempt to fix the links to public profiles later. The past 24 hours have seen a pair of rescues, totaling 325 former slaves and 122 other passsengers. I am appaled at the blatant disregard of the pilots who jettisoned these poor souls into space.
Pilot: Sar'Tek], 308 lives Race: Caldari Corp: Lai Dai Infinity Systems
Pilot: Cern Nuos, 139 lives Race: Caldari Corp: Minertour North Industries Inc.
Update: The majority of the former slaves have opted to attend our newest matriculation center. A small handfull of them have indicated that they wish to return to their 'master'. The mixed passengers turned out to include several slavers and their personal entourage of exotic dancers. The dancers have been given their freedom and the slavers have been detained for further questioning. |

I hope to find time to visit Center # 3 to view this Khumaak. I have read of them and even seen some on holoreels, but never have I seen one up close. Considering the symbolism they present I think it is an important artifact to be preserved and displayed. |

In other news, during my recent patrols I have observed several members from the Imperial Manufacturing and Engineering Regiment who seem to be competing with us to resuce the abandoned souls. Unfortunately this seems to the be corporation ruled by one Ran'Shad, who seems to such a vocal opponent of ours.
Unfortunately the have arrived on station equipped with Battlecruisers or Industrial vessels equipped with microwarpdrives to increase their speed. They have been able to scoop at least 4 different cans out from under me. They also do not seem to give second thought to locking weapons or using intimidation to acheive their goal. |

In recent days martriculation center #4 has been seeing the spread of a virus or disease. Several of the most recent arrivals have come down with the illness. I suspect that they were already sick at the time of their retreival from the jetcan. We are treating them, and taking steps to ensure that the illness does not spread to the others here at the center. Treatment has meant that we have been using a larger amount of water for both sanitation as well as hydration of the sick.
Depending on how things progress we may need to consider temporarily closing Centre 4 to new arrivals, I am prepared to setup an alternate site in the same system to take in any new arrivals. What we need though is biofuels and electrolytes to help develop medicines for the victims. |

The elders have instructed the medical staff to be extra careful in their screenings of those brought in considering the issues in Center #4. Ta Pang, I was wondering if others aboard the station where your Center is located have been ill. That might shed some light on things. If I remember right, the station administration where you are should be a helpful group of people to work with.
Yes, thank you Edaine. I have been speaking with the medical staff here as well as the station administration. They have been quite sympathetic and have offered a little bit of assistance. However it seems as though they are facing issues of their own, staffing shortfall in their medical centre as well an increased demand on those personnel they do have. Frankly I have gotten the feeling that their cheif doctor is more sympathetic to the former masters than the freed slaves suffering of disease.
As for the offer of Ranshad, the elders here at centre 4 have informed me that they have 3 individuals who wish to accept the offered help. I will contact Ranshad, though I suspect that he monitors this channel, and make the arrangements. |
