In my opinion:
Lose the EM hardener and the cap power relay.
Add in:
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II and Damage Control II
Lose the Esplosive Resists Rig
Add in:
Capacitor Control Circuit I
Lose one Cap Recharger II
Add in:
10mn Afterburner II
With Energy System Operation and Energy Management 5, you can permarun all hardeners, guns and 1 repper or afterburner.
If you need big tank, you can permarun both reppers and hardeners.

I use that fitting in game, and both reppers and hardeners can run forever at 33% cap.
EFT sucks, face it.

Why on earth are you fitting an omni tank for missions?? 2 primary hardeners, 2 secondary hardeners, dual rep and 3xCCC rigs is the way to go imo. ==================================================
I should really get a sig. |

EFT warrior who doesn't know how to use damage profiles?
You can do much better than 70% resists vs. the damage types you actually need to resist. And the actual DPS figure that EFT claims you can tank is pretty much meaningless, it's only really useful for comparing the relative merits of two different setups. More to the point, flying missions sensibly (i.e. not aggroing everything in the room and heading straight for the mass of enemies) will do more to help your damage mitigation than anything in your fitting.

Tank fails. Big numbers on your resist display may well swell your E-peen, doesn't mean it's efficient. As has been said, 2x Primary 2X Secondary 2X LAR is the only way to go. Stick on a DC II too for good measure.
And as has been said, realistically, you won't even always need to perma-run your tank if you just play smart. |

For more experienced Domi pilots:
4x Biggest guns you can fit 2x Drone Link Augmentor
2x Cap Recharger II 2x Omnidirectional Tracking Link 1x AB/another omni if AB not needed
1x LAR 4x Hardeners 2x Cap Power Relay
2x Sentry Damage Augmentor
5x Garde II 5x Curator/Warden II 9x Hammerhead II 7x Hobgoblin II
This is really enough tank for 99% of missions if you know how to use it. Heavy drones not needed as the Gardes track just fine with the omnis.
Dual LAR, 3 CCC domis are nice and idiot-proof for nubs, but this fit is a nice way for more experienced mission runners to get more DPS out of their domi while still permatanking enough to get by. Once you know the missions inside out, dual LAR is waaaaaay overkill tank.

My Domi:
5x T2 350mm Rails, plutonium 1x Small Tractor Beam
5x T2 Cap Rechargers
1x T2 LAR, 4x mission-specific hardeners, 1x T2 EANM, 1x PDU
It won't perma tank every mission, but the extra DPS makes them faster.

I approve of this setup, however I do have a Dual Lar 3xCCC Domi for a few select missions.

I did a mission yesterday. Kill the slavers part2 (level 4). When you warp through the second gate you meet instant agro & in my opinion you need two reppers until the agro is managed. I was down to 50% armor in 10 seconds & that was with the right resists. Only when my drones ripped space a new hole was I able to drop to one tec2 large repper. So-in some ways I agree but some missions you just can't control or manage the agro & that's when a dual repper is a god send.

Here is my current config:
[High] Drone link augmentor I x2 425mm Railgun II x2 [Med] Cap recharger II x5 [Low] (miss.spec) Hardener II x2 Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane x2 Large Armor Repairer II x2 Damage Control II x1 [Rig] Capacitor Control Circuit I x3
[Drones] Served to order...
The above configuration allows me to solo every Level 4 mission, with no problems. I rarely have to turn on the second LAR. From what I have found a mix and match approach to the above configuration is optimal. You could swap out the EANM for damage specific energized plates to increase you resists in a specific area. I agree with the other posters that the best way to run missions effectively is to specialize. If you are facing serpentis npcs, then beef up your thermal and kinetic resists. There really is no need to bump you EM resists as the serps generally don't do that damage type. In the Dominix your drones are going to do the lion's share of your damage. You should also use npc specific drones of the most powerful type. One other thing, and I can not stress this enough, if you are going to armor tank then you MUST train your armor compensation skills to 4, if not 5 -- with EM being the exception (since its usually really high to start).

LOL wut? You mean part two of this? http://eve-survival.org/missions/slavetrader4.html
1 T2 LAR, 2 t2 EM hardeners, and 2 t2 thermic hardeners tanks this just fine. In fact, from the notes on that mission on that page: Completed with #3: Dominix (1x EM, 1x Thermal, 1x Energized Nano membrane II, 1x large repairer) Your skills must be lacking.

I like this setup, it's not too far from mine, although I only use one sentry damage aug and 2 drone scope chips. This allows hits at wider ranges. If you have cap issues you could lose the AB and put another cap rech II. I rarely ever use AB in missions.
IMHO this is a very good setup for experienced L4 runners. ---- What part of "shorn't" do you not understand? |

Yeah I pretty much only use it for the odd mission with 70km gate trips.
