Greetings all,
To celebrate EVE Radio going 24/7 on June 1st, we are hosting a party in Nottingham, England on the 29 May, 2004!
We are going to offer you:
- Lots of your favourite EVE Radio DJ's;
- Prize giveaways;
- A chance to be on EVE Radio live around the world;
- A bar (why is this not at the top of the list?);
- Two 4 One drinks offers;
- Loads of other Citizens of EVE;
- Late licence - Drink until 2 am!; and
- According to my male friends, something known as "fit women".
Its all going to be held in Bar Risa which is perfectly located in central Nottingham and accessible to everyone travelling by car, train, plane or canal boat.
Sounds good and you want more info? Then head on over to this page for all you need to know, including directions.

Do you think Robin Hood can come from Sherwood forrest and visit? As long as the sheriff of nottingham isnt invited ofc.

I don't know, I sort of got a kick out of Alan Rickman in Costner's horrid adaptation. He might be a cool guy to party with.

That's it then. Cancel the kitchen scraps for lepers and orphans, no more merciful beheadings, and call off Christmas.
I like this line.

I always like the Time Bandits version better. You know, where one guy handed them gold and another punched them as they walked away

Edited by: Demangel on 30/04/2004 08:34:30 Well I tried with all my might to get to england or wherever this nottingham place is...
I did a damn good job of duct taping together 1,400 empty cartons of milk into a floating scale model of a thorax...
http://www.milkcartonboat.com/howto.htm
But I hit a patch of sea weed about 20 feet from shore, and my ship broke apart...
Any chance there will be an EVE-Radio party in the states sometime?
Galaxion > If you drove a car shaped like a thorax women would call you Demangel > Dude... I would call.. Demangel > wait that sounded g@y I bet. Galaxion > Just a bit.

Yes, maybe, but we can't invite Robin then. But there are two rules, keep that witch away, and dont let the sheriff come close to any swords if he gets upset.

WLTM a maid marion type figure, must have the looks of an angel and the mind of a cheshire county council sewer. GSOH essential as roleplaying will be required for real life abductions and rescues and marrying of unusually ugly and evil blokes. Payment for services can be arranged from my general looting hanger at reset. Please contact box no. 2583 for fun and a short term casual relationship.

I'm no expert on the matter but perhaps people flying in from another country should perhaps consider flying to/from Birmingham International. Firstly there is a train service from there to nottingham, which does require a change but hey, nothing in life is perfect. Also you may find that the train ticket is cheaper as you're not traveling from London, (I didn't check because I couldn't be arsed to register at that site.)
Also you may find that landing at Birmingham is alot cheaper than in London.
As I say i'm no expert, i'm just expressing some basic knowledge that I have/made up!

EDIT: Ghey the link doesn't work anymore
What it said was this:
Date: 29/05/04
Station-------------------------------Arr--------Dep BIRMINGHAM INTERNATIONAL---------------17:43 BIRMINGHAM NEW STREET-------17:56------18:12 NOTTINGHAM-----------------------19:30
Hope this helps some people.

Can anyone tell us of any cheap b&b's in nottingham plz?
I will be there what ever, but just prefer not to be walking the streets for 4 hours in the dead of night waiting for the first train :)

Lies, damn lies and subversive advertising from Nottinghamshire Council :)
It used to be true in the 1800's because of the Linen industry (was nearer to 7:1), then what happened? Well thousands of men moved there because they heard there were loads of women there Now the population is about the same. BOOOOO. However it is true that Queens Med and Notts Uni make it a good town during term time :)
I'm really tempted to take a trip up actually, I live in London but Nottingham's my home town. Went to nottingham high school
I'll have a word with the g/f.

Of course Priates are welcome, just so long as you get the DJ's a beer or two. You dont even have to buy it, just nick it off a carebear! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

first up WOOT nottingham, and WOOT Nottingham High School. Its fun when you find someone who went to the school you go to ^_^
I would come to the party, trouble is I am but 15 yrs of age, and i can pass for 16 in most cases, but this is still 2 years too young. If Rinny or one of the DJ's can pull a few strings though I REALLY want to come >.<
