Some risky behavior spotted on the Machariel market. In Rens they were completely bought out yesterday and in Jita there were only 13 for sale for about 50M more than usual (980M instead of 930M'ish) Today both Jita and Rens have Machariels again, but Jita prices are as high as 1190M. Looks like someone has seen the slow rise of Machariel prices and is speculating on how high they can really go. Needs quite some isk investment so let's see how long this lasts. |

this sort of childish market manipulation is somewhat original on other, less developed, mmo economies. on eve, it gets boring really fast. |

It's my understanding that the prices of items go up and down all the time. We should discuss it. |

I'm shocked anyone would be interested in such a terrible ship. |

Some recent work verifying some unpublished data suggest the Machariel is not in fact the end game for the incursion vanguard market. While this information is allowed to mature, the Macherial market should rise to match other faction battleships and at that point could be allowed to collapse and should rebound a bit when Vanguards are balanced and the larger sites begin to predominate as they should. Then the market for Macherials in Vanguards should almost vanish. |

They're really popular incursion running ships. So, it is probably just a result of it being so proliferated. |

Risky but one who does not risk, does not drink Champagne.
Rattlesnake is another one closely related to a group of people known to outright dump boatloads of these faction ships onto the eve market in a single shot, Perhaps the Owner of the manipulation knows what he is doing and has already covered his flank.
I see nothing wrong with raising the price for a ship primarily used to make ISK, Good to see some one making a little bit for themselves, its a good sign for new players to notice, just how deep the merchant game can go here in eve. |
