okay ...BIG BIG problem with fuzzy graphix.
My laptop is a Dell Inspirion 5150,
Pentium 4, 3.06 Mhz, 512 RAM , 64 Video Ram [ GeForce FX GO5200] , 60 GB hdd space.
this was my first time playing eve...at a friend's recommandation...and i got reaaaaaaaaaaaaly dissapointed. Have a look at a screenshot of the game. The text is UNREADABLE!
First of all i couldn't login propperly and i asked my friends to add the skills and everything for me. I've never seen anything like it!
After installing all the drivers ..still nothing.
I managed to find after a while where to set the in-game graphix from...and i tried all sorts of settings... NONE WORKED!
Funny ...i created my account less than an hour ago and i am already fed up with the game...
Does anyone have any pointers?

looks to me like you need to up the refresh rate and maybe try a different screen resolution.
failing that, uninstall eve and delete all files in the ccp directory, reboot and then reinstall!
hope it works for u

i had the same problem the first time i ran eve and i have a geforce card too. check your windows display settings and make sure they are set on best QUALITY not fastest perfomance. almost everyone i have told this too it has fixed the problem, and i did not notice any fps loss after the chang. _______________________________________________

Maxze, in the middle of your screenshot there is a slider named "Pixel Alignment". Have you tried using it to fix your problem? _________________________________________________________

I was stuck with this problem too, Maxze. I almost stopped playing in the first couple of days because of it. I thought that they had fixed this problem, because the texel slider has no effect for me anymore. You'll either need to fiddle with the texel slider in the menu, or change your graphics settings (not sure which ones - I forget).

another possible solution is to set the driversettings to default... i had a similar problem caused by 1. antialiasing activated and 2. i played around with the driver-settings... set it to default and reboot and look if it helps -----------------------------------------------

Maybe try using the nvidia 53.04 reference drivers, if you are using the default manufacturers drivers, they are usually optimised for business applications and do not usually work well in games.
I am using the 53.04 nvidia reference drivers on my Toshiba laptop with a 5600go 64mb card. Do not have any graphics or text problems. I also run it at the laptops LCD optimal display size (which happens to be 1900 x 1200). Sometimes running at below optimal settings on the panel can cause the display to be stretched or compressed.

Okay ..after spending several hours playing blindfolded with the game settings i found out that it's not the game's fault. Although i've never seen something like it.
Anyway..now it works! Sorry about making to much fuss about it..but at the moment i was really angry
The problem was setting the 3d card propperly. For all of you who have the same problem, all you need to do is set in "Direct3D settings" the "Mipmap detail level" from best performance (default) to blend or better. The performance and quality slider has no effect on the problem...
Thanx guys for the help and feedback :)
I'll see you all in the game
