i think eve is too good a game to have it soiled by the degenerates that make up 90% of caod.
can it not just be removed ?
what is it good for other than chest beating and stupid alt posting.
i have managed not to read it for quite a while and the few times i did end up clicking it it was sickening.

Nobody's forcing you to read it. In fact, under the assumption that its filled with "degenerates"/the bad element of EVE, you're better off having them concentrated on wasting time on CAOD than elsewhere.

You don't have to read it.
As for your corporation/alliance that may hate the crap in there, there is a very simple solution that most alliances are too stupid to follow: DON'T POST IN COAD.
Amazes me many alliances and corporations still go in there and put the spotlight on themselves - however its a useful tool of propaganda to bigger alliances to use it more as a weapon than being a victim of it.

It just sucks theres no real way to find out whats going on throughout EVE without having to trudge through the crap that is CAOD. EVETV was great for it, but its not around anymore.

It is unfortunate but you just have to dig in articles and papers, do your homework basically. If you have access to friends on the inside of things, intelligence networks, they are usually reliable sources too.
COAD is really absolute crap anyways - 90% of what is said there is either a propaganda post or a "troll/flame/wtf is the OP talking about" post. If u have a trained eye and use other information sources you can piece together the real picture though.

if we cant get rid of it i d be happy enough if caod was alt free. that would do fine.
obvious trolls and one person corp alts should be banned from it without discussion.

The only troll in this tread is yourself. Post with your main insted of a alt, since you are not in a position to argue about alt posting when you do it yourself.
Alt posting sucks both here and in COAD.

I usually found I could rely on someone else to read it for me. It's pretty much the approach I have to the news IRL.
Of course this means I'll probably end up like a guy I used to work for, who didn't know about the destruction of the twin towers until I came into work 3 days later.

Generally I dont like it when people use real life examples to illustrate EvE....but this post begs for it....
