Ok, someone has to bite the bullet and ask the dumb question, but hopefully those who also don't know the answer but are too shy to ask will also benefit.
PvP = Player vs Player,
but what's PvE and PnP stand for?

PvE = Player vs Eve (eg. player vs NPCs).

PvP=Player vs Player
PvE=Player vs Enything
PnP=Positive Negative Positive (Atype of trasistor and has nothing to do with Eve)

PvE = Player VS. Environment or Entity (basically it refers to fighting NPCs and other computer-controled entities)
PnP = Pen and Paper (a tpye of RPG played with a pen and paper)
TNT = that stuff that minmatars use to blast holes in amarrians
MTV = something to do with low IQ, the RIAA, DRM and indoctrination of teenagers with strange ideas
HIV = the virus which leads to the sickness known more commonly as AIDS

You forgot the most important of all: PvS
PvS = player vs spouse
...and usually starts when you are in the middle of an epic PvP or PvE battle 
and a question: why is CNR and not RNI anyway?
