I just bought my second Kronos & fitted it as a dedicated salvager
I've put 3 Tractors & 3 Salvagers & a cloak in the highs.
An afterburner & cap modules in the mids & cargo expanders & tank in the lows.
Rigs have salvage modules.
This is an incredable salvaging ship-it's a hoover in space & can clean the carnage from level 4's much faster than a destroyer salvager solution. It really is the way to go if you can afford the time to train & the ISK. I now make so much money from salvaging with this solution I can afford to look at equiping my other character with a Golem.

This set-up makes me brain hurt. Seriously, yeah the kronos gets bonuses to salvaging, but c'mon ... its a mission machine and spending 700 mil just to salvage a little faster ... you are WAY too rich.

But it was doing missions effectively that made me rich & with my Kronos salvager- I just get richer. LOL

Well. If you want ISK you just go out & get it-the Eve universe is stuffed full of it. I salvage some scrap ships & turn it into 30 million worth of ISK in only 6 or 7 missions. Then theres the bounty & the mission bonuses & all the..............

Na. I got 2 Kronos, A Navy Megathron, A Navy Raven, A Hyperion, 2 Megathron, 2 Dominix, a load of battle cruisers & frigates. I would not care if they all got blown up- I'd jut be back out salvaging to make some more ISK to buy them all back. I also mine to bring in the ore to make my own ammo & then sell the surplus. It's just so easy to make ISK in this game.

No offence taken at all. I don't have any difficulty making ISK in Eve. I perhaps give the game 15 hours per week which is spent mostly mining & mission running & making a 150 million or so per week does very nicely for me.

Hello noble sir.
Do you use faction/officer loot... errr, modules, for the tank, or do you stick with tech2?

The armor tank is not faction- that would be stupid on a salvaging ship- just too much risk of getting ganked. I've kept it at tec1 as tec2 or anything higher would be overkill on a dedicated salvager. The main issue is the risk of getting ganked for a return to the attacker so I think I have removed that option but there is always a risk whereever you fly as somebody might kill me because its a Kronos. I just stay aware.

Honestly you lead a boring eve life mate, not only can I make 150m in an hour I get to use all those ships to pvp with instead of spending every minute of eve trying to scrounge up isk... Btw if your only making 30m isk from every 6-7 missions your are doing something even worse than using a t2 battleship to salvage with .

Why'd you do that, seriously :|
Use your primary mission ship (Which i assume is a Golem or Kronos) with 3 tractors. Tractor everything as your killing them and just bookmark and come back to the mission once you've ended it in a thrasher or the like with 8 salvagers.
Seriously, a salvage thrasher can salvage the entire field of wrecks in about 5 minutes if it was a long mission. Not even 2 or 3 mins for anything smaller. -----

I dont use a Maurader for missions. I use a Dominix. The Maurauder salvages so much better than a catalyst or similar ship so I'm happy with my solution- did you ever see a destroyer salvager solution with 2000 cargo space or upwards?

I meant 30 million per hour play time from building the rigs from the salvage I get from the ships. My play time is rewarding- I help my corp to grow & I assist with missions for them when I can. Who are you to judge how I play Eve- you know nothing about me so get off your troll box & add value not criticism.

Why have a tank?
Why do you not bookmark the mission rooms, come back with an mwd equipepd kronos, only a mix of inertia/speed and cargo space mods in the lows?

I actually use mine to do missions. Im usually down to the small wrecks by the time im done killing all the spawns when it comes to looting/salvaging. 2 salvagers 1 tractor beam, 4x 425mm II's.
If you cant salvage fast enough in a marauder while missioning i hate to say it but then its you who need to learn to play or prehaps training targeting to level 4 or something.

You are waaay to rich if you got a second T2 BS just for salvaging. The setup is good, but you really need to get a carrier or a dred if you can waste cash like that. BTW Could you lend me 80 mil?

Thats what I do. Get all the wrecks in a nice bunch by the time I've finished the mission. I can't even loot the cans fast enough when I go back to salvage the wrecks Sig removed. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like to know why. -Conuion Meow

Stop trolling. The Maurader gets a bonus for salvaging. It is making best use of the capability of one aspect of this ship. It is not my fault that you are too stupid to realise this fact. Why does anybody deserve to get podded for making the best of one aspect of a great ship. I have two Kronos- one runs the mission the other one salvages but as I said I run most of my missions in a Dominix with the Kronos as the hoover. I get the best of both worlds- so I hope you can now fall off your soap box & go troll somebody else.
In summary why I use the Kronos for salvaging:
Double Range & speed to Tractors Massive flexible Cargo space Great Tank ........everything goes that much faster. Why use only one tractor & salvager when you can use three pairs & it cleans up really fast. It is my ship & I will use it how I want & if you don't like it- well go float your own boat because it's not affecting me in the slightest. It amazes me how when anybody in Eve wants to do something different you get flamed for it but at least I share the idea.
Please end yourself.
