i was just wondering why ccp are putting race bonuses on ship i think it sucks that they are going to restrict people to 1 ship or suck on other race ships. i have a character with L projectile 5 , minmatar bs lvl 5 and well the char is gallante....
if i will be forced to go on my race bs i will either make a new character (minmatar) and well stop training my almost 1 year old character.
i know its probably a year or so until tech 2 bs would well maybe come but i was just thinking about this and if i will still be playing i wouldd hate to have to buy my own race ship :(

U wount be forced....just that u will get extra bonuses from your ships (that is same race as your are)

thats what i meant , if i choose for an example minmatar bs then a minmatar pilot with same skills as i will be superior

It doesn't work that way.
"Ship race bonus" refers to the bonus you get from skills such as "minmatar battleship" etc. Anyone can learn them.
A Caldari with Minnmatar BS level 4 is just as good as a Minmatar with the same.

The same-race ship bonuses are *WAY* overdue and probably don't go far enough.
There's zero realism in the fact that I, a Gallentean, can fly un-hindered into the heart of Caldari space and buy a Raven.

It's almost as stupid as me being able to drive a German car, or use a Japanese DVD player
afik there are no real race bonuses anywhere, just bounus for the skill in that type of ship. So the 'race bonus' on a Crow is just beacuse you have to have caldari frig lvl 5 to fly it.

race bonuses are already ingame , check info on interceptors dudes :l

and im training for minmatar interceptor :l MAAAAAN i wish i would have picked minmatar but no ,, i pick a frkn gallantean

there is no real race bonus. the interceptor bonus u mention come from minmatar frig lv 5 which is a prerequest for flying minmatar interceptors anyway...
