Can anyone tell me what the overall affect of a full set of Halo implants would be? this including the hardwiring! It doesn't seem all that much with the range from 1-2% and with such small bonus a 15% set bonus doesn't seem all that great, or am i reading it wrong?
Thanks

The slot 6 implant, I believe the omega, gives a 50% boost to the other imlant's effects.

Well, Crystals are most common on PVE fits that are already tanked out the ass anyhow. Keep in mind the effectiveness of each HP of shield boost is increased as your resistances improve. As such, a ship like a Golem can achive a staggering tank if you throw crystals in the mix (and god forbid you throw in faction hardners and deadspace boosters)

It means people take longer to lock you, have more trouble tracking you, may reduce the missile damage you take, and you'll be somewhat harder to scan. It's hard to get more specific, because the exact results will vary so much depending on what you're flying, what you're doing, and who is trying to kill you.
The general consensus is that they've got some advantages, but Halos aren't very good overall compared Crystals, Slaves, or their most direct competitor, Snakes. They were fairly cheap though, last time I checked. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

If you're the fleet booster, have a Halo set, and fly a Claymore with max Skirmish skills and a Skirmish mindlink and the Evasive Maneuvers gang link, Command Ships V, and other relevant skills at level 5, you'll reduce your signature radius by about 30% when it's all added up. -- The Theorem Theorem: If If, Then Then --

(1% + 1.25% + 1.5% + 1.75% + 2%) x 1.15 x 1.15 x 1.15 x 1.15 x 1.15 x 1.5 = 22.63%
Edit: seems this isnt right way to calculate the bonus, according to this thread : link
20.6 % should be correct.

Ah ok so around about 20% then! I actually quite like the bonus for these especially if you have gang skills boosting this further! but it does seem a lot lower effect than slaves etc...

The gang bonus alone will be a 25.2% reduction;
.748 * .794 = .594 ie: a 40.6% reduction in sig radius.
Halos, like Talismans and Nomads are nice but the bonus just isn't quite large enouugh to justify the investment. If you have a max-skilled claymore pilot in gang then a 40% sig radius reduction is about the point where it starts to become meaningful, but that's a pretty specific purpose.
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |

Well my other char will have all the relevent gang skills too lvl5 and will have the implant to give the extra 50% in 5 days, although not using a claymore, just the eos....
Thats kind of why i was going to go for them, a speed bonus is all well and good but i'm not a nano type pilot, more a close up blaster guy so the sig radius bonus seemed a really good choice when fighting neutron blasterthrons etc...
