My obsession with the Jove started some time ago, I have read much, well as much as one can read on any perticular subject. The Jove are the closest thing we have to our ancient human past, I believe. The problem is that I can't dig up enough information, I have flown out to the farthest point I could and still nothing.
I have been to the closest I could to the area, but the stargates end just as I'm about there, as you may all already know. The Jove like their privacy but my curiasity is to big to just let that be that..
if you have any information you would like to share please, let us all learn..

I've been wondering, even with the stargates destroyed, is it possible to jump into Jove space in a Capital ship? I see no reason why we can't simply jump into their system, we have the coordinates.
Also, what of the Enheduanni? We haven't heard anything about them since the first war.

Given current events I doubt if anyone from either the Jovian empire or the Caldari state will confirm or deny any alliances that may, or may not, exist between the two races...

As a capital pilot these ships require a "target" to jump to whether it be a cyno generator array on a POS or a pilot with an active cyno gen. They cannot simply jump to a place that they know the co-ordinates of.

I find the Jove's level of infiltration into our society disturbing, even in such small numbers.
The size of their operation has only been hinted at by the recent "gift" that arrived in the hangar of every user of the capsule technology alive.
This would mean that they bypassed the normal market and contract channels and deposited ships directly into our hangars, based on our flight activity. This implies direct access to station goods, and an incredible manufacturing power backing them.
Want to find them? They're already watching you, all you have to do is make them want to contact you directly.

Not to throw gasoline on a good conspiracy fire, but yes i am:
Consider CONCORD. Consider the level of military might they display to even the most hardened combat veteran. Consider their apparent desire to use unlimited military might to promote peace and love and well-being in solid Empire systems, but an unwillingness to apply that might to any other endeavor... then ask yourself who possesses such technology? Then wonder who's in all those CONCORD ships, and how they show up so fast when there's trouble in systems they deem under their protection.

Well, supposedly CONCORD ships are so overpowered because they were engineered using the best aspects from the technology of every race. If you imagine ships with the speed of the Minmatar, shield strength of the Caldari, the armor strength of the Gallente, and the... uhh... shininess of the Amarr, you get some idea as to why CONCORD ships are so potent.

Uhm... "we" being..? I hope i'm mistaken and you're not claiming the Caldari are... I'd believe we all have potential. There's intelligent and hard working Matari AND Amarr just as there are also lazy and cowardly Matari AND Amarr.
Didn't the Caldari also have help from the Jove? I believe the Cormorant destroyer class ship may of had a little Jove intervention in their design... Or maybe my research is wrong and i'm a little paranoid. I believe the Gallente may of had equal help in a similar field of research... ------------------------------------- Anti-Slavery doesn't mean Anti-Amarr! |

Well knowing that "the gift" was found in the location where your current clone is located, and cloning is Jove tech, I am sure some smart people will get a clue as to what level the Jove have infiltrated.

If that truly were the case, then Jove would be allied with all the races. They choose Caldari because we are high-tech and sophisticated.

Well to be fair, standings are generally just a prefunctory number. They only mean as much as you allow them to.
When's the last time the Jove helped you engineer any vessels? There are several Caldari technologies that are rumored to be Jovian in origin.
My point being, despite numbers and rumors, no one knows really what the Jove think or do. Only what we theorize. And when a race has been altered over time so much, they are as much aliens as the ancient Talocan. In the end, it is impossible to say one way or the other. And any scientist knows, speculating is inefficient. ---

Take information concerning the Jovian personel, especially the higher government, with a grain of salt at best. Especially since Jovians have such advanced cloning technology. I imagine they could make themselves look however they pleased.

The irony of all of these "who are the Jove allied with" discussions is that the faction that has probably recieved the most in technology from the Jovians is the Angel Cartel (they do, after all, inhabit the Jovians' old territory, which the Jovians left in a great hurry). I suspect that the Cartel leadership knows much more about the Jovians and thier technology then they let on, and that there are many more treasures waiting in Angel territory to be discovered.
Of course, this begs the question or why the Jovian Navy has not gone back to destroy relics of thier past habitation - they certainly have the power to, especially if they called for a joint operation with CONCORD and freelance capsuleers.
My guesses are that either they are so truly afraid of Jovian Disease that they do not go near thier former homes, find some twisted enjoyment in seeing the Cartel recover old Jovian tech, they genuinely don't care (they have other things, thier population foremost, to worry about), or the Cartel has managed to uncover a weapon capable of defeating or at least matching a Jovian warship. Say "Amarr ships suk, lol." I dare you.
My statments do not represent the opinions, views, or actions of my corp. |
