What is the best way to make teh big bucks mining??

Get a group together for a corp mining op. For high sec, you need miners and haulers (the miners should be able to tank high sec rats themselves).
For low sec or 0.0 you'll need a combat patrol for protection, miners, haulers and possibly a dedicated tanker depending on the rats you're facing.
Once you have this sort of setup, work your bonuses, jetcan and have the haulers take the ore. Get your best refiner to produce the minerals and divvy up the minerals (I've always found it better to divide minerals, rather than sell them and divide the ISK. That way if someone wants to haul minerals for a better deal, they can).
A good 0.0 operation could make as much as 20mil per hour per participant. I'm not sure about high-sec as I've never done corp ops there, but I gues you'd make a few million an hour with some decent mining skills and a small group.

It's Halada's Mining Guide. It has a lot of information to help you get started in the mining profession.
And Hulk mining Veldspar, along with some implants and skills, is a very nice ISK maker. (with current market conditions)
I run 2 characters atm and make 12 Million an hour in High Sec and that will jump to about 15 when I get my command ship pilot done.
Multiply that by about 4 for low sec/0.0

Form a business with a clever incentive structure of some kind that ends up with other people mining and depositing ore in your hangar without you personally having to be involved.

There si several detail that you need to cover.
Good miners, enough hauler to tranport all ore they can mine, enough combat pilots to make it safe, better refiner you can find. If you are asking what to mine , that always depends on market, rigth now veldspar its the better option in most situations.

Lowsec ? You're still going to be mining Veldspar simply because it's one of the best.
And a crappy 0.0 will barely be better than that.
You need a "quiet" 0.0 system (preferably in alliance space, either your alliance or a friendly one) with either Bistot, Arkonor or Crokite. Then you need escorts to kill the NPCs every now and then. And haulers. And you need to pay them too. And refine taxes. And the cost of shipping minerals back to empire, or selling them cheap on location.
You won't be making 4 times more than mining Veldspar in highsec anywhere.

But you don't kill the rats, they just respawn in random places and hit the miners. You just fire at them every now and then to keep the aggro on the tanker. As you're about to leave the belt, the tanker is allowed to pop the rats at that point. In my previous alliance, we'd have 2 tankers, so that one could stay behind to escort the last haulers, then pop the rats. Meanwhile the other would move to the next belt to get aggro before the miners came in. During the bulk of the mining, one of the tankers would go off ratting (this way you could get away with paying the tankers a half share each, as they made the extra out of ratting).

Grab a hulk, find a nicely populated lowsec system, announce your intentions in local and they'll leave you alone
