This is exactly why I love EVE. Because I spend barely in time in game compared to other MMOs! In DAoC I had a character with 125 days /played. That's pure in game time. But with EVE, I can schedule my skills before I goto bed, goto work, get home from work, during the evening, repeat.
I spend lots of time with my girl friend. I spend lots of time working on my motorcycle. I'm not required to sit in game non stop like I used to. Sure made my relationship a hell of a lot better since I quit DAoC and joined EVE!

So much time that my boss has put a new questions into the job application form:
Quote: 9. Do you play Eve? If no, go to question 10. If yes, goodbye.

I don't count the time spent, although I'd be nice to have playtime registered like in FFXI. I usually run EVE while I am working or learning, so sometimes it's on for a long time warping between systems while I am painting or writing.

You could at least go to an NPC corp with a touch of style I couldn't face another stay in the DCM channel.

Oh and on topic, many, mnay, mnay hours.
Though I play in windows work and try to write at the same time, hence the number of corpses I leave about the place.

Conservatively, several hundred hours.
I haven't played as much between September and now because there simply hasn't been time with school. But exams are almost finished and then I will probably be at the pace I was last summer (6-8 hours/day during the week and 8-12 on the weekend).
Unlike last summer, I won't get yelled at by the wife as she'll be right there with me! --------------

5hrs every Mon-Fri plus 12-13hrs at weekends since May 11th. Plus I've had a fair bit of time of work.
Conservative estimate is around 3000 hrs. 125 days

hmmm. I say i have played an average of 15-20 hours a week for the last 10 months. So around 600-800 man hours.
Imagine if i spent that time studing the stock market or working out. I would be either healthier or richer but instead i am just getting fatter and lazyer

Stupid question, but there used to be a way to tell how long you've actually physically played the game. Anyone remember what that was?
As for life, well, I'm still waiting for that skill to train up... ___winterblink/warp_drive_active/eve_nature_vraie// |

Let me see:
Take 12 added to the 24 plusthe 5 carry the 30 and divide by 365 then carry the 2 with the square root then ...............................................................................
Hmmm by my calculations WAY FREAKING TO MUCH

I really wouldn't know an exact figure, rough estimate is 1000+ hours or so. And still enjoying every minute of it :D ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

You know i used to think similar thing that Eve is fun but im wasting so much time...
But recently i think its all bull**** , poeple spend much time driving fast cars or throwing a ball over a net to each other, and these are all respected activities and playing this beatifil game, in wich you must use your brain , you get to know other people is a shameful activite??
You know now chess is a respected game for intelectualist , in middle ages it was a shameful , not recomended game....
I think its a bit like this, i really think playing Eve is a great experince wich beats many rl activites, so I play it.
