hello my dear eve community
a couple of weeks. I found out of a nice little mining operation off Lost Sheep Domain alliance. There was a corp named Intergalactic Privateers this corp was using a dread to tank 0.4 rats  i saw that as a very nice opportunity to get a dread kill mail. So i called in some friends to go and have a little fun we got our ships ready to move out and have some fun. Our scout that was in a vaga was a little bit to happy he engaged the dread he got neuted and got 5 fighters on him while the fleet was about 8 jumps away so that didt go as planned we decide to hold off for a bit so they would get comfortable and get mining again. About 40 min ltr whe came in local pointed the dread and whe where shooting the support first suddenly a carrier comes in so whe started to primary the fighters. when whe killed all of the fighters whe went on the dread the dread was going into almost structure when its suddenly dissapears and where like huh how the f*ck can that happen plus we get a major desync off it of that so we start to regroup and see whats going one whe kill some smaller ship in the mean time when suddenly i hear of a petion that was made by the dread pilot MACKINAW that he was stuck so a gm docked him in a station. Offcourse he was stuck whe had 5 points on him now we lost some expensive ships to get that dread down and suddenly its just gets docked do a to a petion and even the gm are telling now that they wont reimbursh the ships that whe lost in vain do to a gm interference. How is that fair to us while the person that used a exploit still has his pheonix

My advice...use better grammar. Is it just me or is this hard to follow as some sections are just massively long sentences, that seem to go on forever and jump from one thing to another??? I know this doesn't help with your post at all but damn!!! People won't even bother to read stuff like this if it doesn't even make some sort of sense.

Well we cant judge here what happened really since there is no way to check if what you are saying is the truth. However you should keep sending petitions to support, they can verify from logs if the said ship is warp scrambled easily. Just dont give up too easy and if you are right that guy will lose his dread.

Seems like not only should you get your ships back, but the Dread pilot should also lose his ship. Did he have like 5 stabs on or something?? Doubtful...
So being "stuck" and using that as an excuse to get a mod to dock your ship for you is utter bull****. If what you recanted is truly what happened then this should seriously be looked into.

If what you are saying is true, that he didn't log off and was infact moved by a GM while you had him tackled then file a petition. If the GM wont do anything then ask for escalation to a senior GM.
At the very least a GM will confirm exactly what happened.

tl;dr
But for those of you who haven't read it.
Savak here sees a dread being used as a tank. Decided to kill it with a fleet.
Said fleet is 8 jumps out and their primary tackler jumps the gun and tackles the dread. Neuted vaga is dead via 5 fighters.
Fleet comes in, they start fighting and are surprised SURPRISED that a carrier comes in. They kill the fighters and go back to the dread, dread pilot petitions saying he's stuck. GM moves without checking him and he's instadocked in a station.
Kind of a lame exploit if you ask me. But total fail to the OP for not realizing that where there are fighters there's a carrier as well.

Well yeah - but you gotta hand it to the guy for imaginative thinking. I mean, you can't deny that he really was stuck there, so the petition was clearly appropriate...

maybe he was stucked before the fight, maybe he was stucked because of the fight made him stuck? If he was stucked, he was stucked, lol
Does it now mean he was right or u was right, hard question. But if u ask me u deserved that kill. And he deserved to live because of his creativity!

it is actually possible that the gm made a mistake
i had a similar situation when a pos was attacked
we shot it in reinforced but while waiting 8 hours the owner
send a petition to a gm mentioning a known bug (the pos was 100% funktioning :) )
but the junior gm reseted it
so as we came back we jumped into a fully operational pos (no losses thou)
we repetitioned and the pos was set back in reinforced cause the gm didnt check before resetting
mistakes happen but its often started with a faked petition

Here some more:
gm tells me i need to get more information and send it to the right one. They have the logs to check my story out.
Plus i put in the petition for reimbursing the losses that we took for nothing if the dread would have died then the losses that we took where not in vain but we couldt because it suddenly was docked and there basically refusing to correct there error with reimbursing our ships back.

I think you should change your tactic with the GMs. Ask for the dread to die (and you to get the killmail) rather than asking for your ships back.
