Edited by: SomeHardLovin on 15/05/2008 21:13:10 Bombs are expensive. Bombs are hard to figure out how to use. We seriously need some "dummy bombs" available in EvE that cost 50k instead of 8-20mill so we can practice or possibly freak out opposition but not actually cause damage. Its silly to head to a test server to do that kind of thing.. it takes you out of the game.
I am trying to get some of my alliance mates trained up but its a very very expensive process and in reality you would never train initially with live, expensive bombs.
Thanks :)
oops and PS this should have been one forum down I think :) ---

um no and what was the point of SISI again?
OH YAH, to TEST things out.
CCP delivered here, go forth to SISI and practice on the drones left after all those engagements.
About that point CCP, make all drones pop with the ship when it goes (Start with doing this on SISI eh eh eh) -- Two cannibals eating a clown. One says to the other "Does this taste funny to you?" |

Is that a computer joke about the clock cycles wasted drawing inert and control less drones?
or is it a 'What reason should drones explode?' type question?
If the later, the logic is you can't go collect fired missiles that never reached their targets (and no, they do NOT explode). You can't collect ammo that missed its mark. Why should 'drones' be cluttering up things?
I reckon spent ammo casings being added to the game makes more sense than leave inert drones around. Much more 'logical' than things 'vanishing', drones included, but there you have it and gosh, its 'different' from what you are used to.

So, you realise that when you pop a carrier you will lag out insanely if they were to do that? -----

Brilliant logic there. Don't bother adding things to the game that make sense.. install a complete second client on your PC and live an alternate life somewhere and test away.
Wouldn't it be more fun for you to catch me in a belt somewhere practicing bombing runs with dummy bombs? ---

Edited by: Sopha Serpentia on 16/05/2008 15:19:43 Dummy bombs also serve a useful decoy purpose too, why build an expensive void bomb that sends a fleet scattering when you can build a dummy at a fraction of the cost that has the same "omg run" effect
So it just not for testing purposes.

Exactly. There lots of good reasons to not simply reject the idea of out hand.. although that is certainly easier to do. ---

Most of the ships(hacs,cs etc.) can easily tank one void bomb. Why would they run away from tankable dmg? ______________________________________________________________
