Well, I really like doing kill missions for my agent. Unfortunately this displeases the Amarr, Ammatar, and Khanid races. In an attempt to make them happy last night I flew out to Amarr space to work an agent there. Much to my dismay they mocked me, a level one -18 quality agent even told me to "begone scum". My connections is at level 3, as is social.
Any ideas how I can get in their good graces again before I start getting attacked by sentry guns and navy ships? Or do I keep killing the Amaar scum slavers and just avoid their space indefinately.

Assuming your faction standing to amarr/ammatar/khanid is negative i believe Connections isnt the right skill. Diplomacy shud be in charge of such cases. |

It's a tough balance to keep everyone happy. You'll find you may be limited to your travels from consistently running missions with one corp.
All you can do is,
start running missions with the angered faction......but you will be hard pressed to find an agent to accept you if your standing is negative with that race.
the other thing you can do is hunt whatever NPC pirates plague that race.
For amarr it is sansha nation. if you bring up the amarr info sheet, click on the dislikes tab. hunt the npc pirate faction that they dislike the most........they will turn a new light on you for helping them take care of their problems. after your standing with them gets back to 0.00 or higher.......then you'll find some low level agents that will accept.
good luck

The things to do is find a faction which is allied to the faction you have bad standing with, and work for a small corp (the smaller the corp the greater the standing gains).
For your case Caldari missions may be the solution, Zero-G gave good fast gains for me, but then of course the Galls get annoyed with you, but then some more Minmatar missions will sort that out.
You can keep going around for ever trading off one faction against another, they'll always be someone that dosn't like you

Don't think so, the Sancutary school is a Sisters corp, you lose Caldari and Amarr standing working for them, which makes sense since they are a Gallente allied faction.

Thanks for the ideas so far, I appreciate them. Keep them coming. I know I can't be the only one affected by this.
I also heard something about killing the training drones and getting training certificates to increase my standing, is that an option? If so what system in the Amarr empire has a training ground.

I've found that what balances best seems to be Caldari and Gallente importants.
Gallente for some reason raises Amarr and Minmatar both. Caldari raises Khanid and Amarr (if I recall) as well. About the only people you're not really pleasing is Intaki Syndicate and the Ammatar.
I use these just to get a faction good enough to work for that faction directly as the direct gains almost always far outweigh 'derived' losses.
Diplomacy skill is good, but you very likely won't be able to find a copy for sale, and if you do, the price probably starts at around 20 million and goes up from there due to rarity alone. (I know ... I really want this skill!)
Keep track of who you have agents for, and if you're just exploring or passing through, it rarely hurts to do a few level 1 agent missions for any local corporations not in your repitoire just to have your Connections kick in toward that corp.
Once a corp has you on record as positive, your rating with that corp's Empire faction can drop quite a bit before it becomes too late to 'go back' and repair your Empire faction through that corp.
You can even drop the way to -10.0 with that Empire faction and still get it repaired if you have one of that Empire's corporation agents deep in -another- empire you have good standings with.

Interbus important missions will raise the faction standing with all the empire factions.
Not sure what to do if you want to be friends with the pirates and the empire at the same time. Right now some of the pirates really hate me.

I've read on the forum somewhere that you need to visit a "noob-training agent". That is the tutorial agent each race has.
If you do all missions for them you can raise your standing to that race to 2.0. AFAIK this can only be done once per race.
One of my corpmates tested this and found it to work, however this was some time ago.
Hope this helps.

I have the same problem, but through corp standings managed to get a low level agent with Zoar and sons, an Amarr trading corp. I assume that you have checked out all the amarr affiliated corps? You might find one that accepts you.
Maybe you could try temp-joining a corp that had good amarr standings, and get access to an amarr agent that way?

unfortunately this was fixed in the last patch.. "You can now only do the tutorial for your own starting agent. Other agents will not accept you."

I've had the same problem.
First of its -2 standing where they stop talking to you. Also its a either or thing. If either your personel/corp or faction standing is -2 they won't talk to you regarless of how high your other standings are. Otherwise they go of your highest rating to determine if the better agents will talk to you. So if you have -1.99 faction and 5.0 corp you will have access to most agent of that corp. But if you lose 0.01 points more of faction the whole faction will stop talking to you.
Connections won't do anything unless you have positive corp standing with the agents corp. Again its an either or. As soon as you have +0.1 with a corp then connections bonus kicks in.
But back to the subject. Each faction has a faction they slighly like, a faction they really hate and a faction they slightly hate.
Its caldari/amarr V gallante/minmatar.
Very roughly +1 to caldari would give +0.5 to amarr, -.5 to gallante and -0.25 to mimatar (the negative is less than the positive). I have no idea of the exact figures, but the relation between them is something in that ballpark.
In my case, I did to many caldari missions and ended up with something like +6 caldari, +3 amarr, -3 gallante and -1.5 minmatar. The gallante wouldn't talk to me but fortunatly the mimatar would. I had to do a lot of mission for them though as they don't raise gallante very fast.
If you get both factons in one camp e.g. caldari/amarr or gallante/minmatar bellow -2 then you have a problem. I think theres still ways of fixing it but its more work.
Ideally if your gonna do a lot of agent missions then working agents from two opposed factions will keep everyone happy.
However having said all that, negative faction isn't a big problem at the moment. -2 stops agents talking to you and thats it. Apparenly -5 was or maybe evetually will make you KOS, but it hasn't been implimented yet.
