Cerberus, 400 dps always, at up to 192km. i have 4 million sp in missiles and its the only missile ship i fly, it owns so much.

Nano scimitar, heavy assault missile cerberus and till after the nerf I find the gallente recons fun.
Oh and T1 cruisers I like are, Thorax, Stabber, arbitrator etc. Deepends on the mod :p

each of those ships has a role
Small gang: Curse,Hictor,Rapier,Ishtar,Vaga,Cerb,Sacrilege
Vaga for killing small ships adding a little extra gank to the fleet.
Ishtar for bringing the pain -> HUGE versatility
Nano-sac gank+tackle. It ownz other nano-ships
Curse for breaking active tanks (1-5 man gangs) paper-thin tho.
Rapier/Hug - no need for comments
Cerb - anti-support, good buffer hp, great range.
Med gang: Vaga, Sac, Cerb, Hugin/Rapier
Vaga - a little extra gank
Sac - anti-support + gank
Cerb - anti-support + snipe
Hugin/Rapier - 'nuff said
Large gang: none of the above but the HICs and falcon (which is a great support ship all around but wasnt on your list)
Just my 2 cents. I fly amarr/minmatar/gallente hacs btw. And the Deimos is utter fail.

Cerb.185 km range with a nano-fitting makes it just about impossible to catch,and a excellent sniper.

Pilgrim. It owns. Like "boom headshot" ownage.
In laser-mode it has the best dps of all force recons at the best range.
In neut mode it drains as fast as the curse.
It tanks like a BS if you want to.
Sadly, you cant nano it effectively, only for fleeing.
And the final solution too all the perceived issues the pilgrim might have is to use a blob of them. Makes them all handy and dandy when the target caps out on 20 seconds being neuted by 5x3 neuts while taking a few thousand DPS.
That amarr recon whine thread is useless, just blob more.
