"obvious conclusion" so you want to farm lev 4s, no risk at all ever, and play in marshmallow land, where everything is squishy and soft .
od course its possible as to where your carrier can go . just dont bother - use a raven . and learn to play the game ......... and get at least some enjoyment out of it.

Yah, no risk at all. Minimizing the risk is a part of the game. Do u have a problem with that ? It u want to "feel the adrenaline rush", play a lvl 4 mission in a destroyer !
I don't know what u want to say: "as to where your carrier can go" Oh, and by the way, i'm enjoying the game, thank u very much !

It's actually more risky do lvl 4s in a carrier. Since you ll be doing this in low sec or 00 you will be chased by hordes of player gangs that roam these places hoping and wishing everyday for opportunities such as the one you plan to offer them, since a carrier is a sought after target that makes your killboard looking cooler |

No, in reality I get paid to lie about MMORPGs on the internet.

to cut through all the pointless flaming.
No, you cannot do deadspace level 4 missions in a carrier, as they cannot use the gates.
Hypothetically you COULD use one for the encounter missions but the truth is that any of the various popular mission battleships will serve you much better. They are cheaper and tackle the missions more efficiently, and they do not paint a gigantic bullseye on your back, which a carrier undoubtedly will. A missionrunning/ratting carrier is every lowsec pirate's wet dream and you WILL die before long.
If you want an expensive "look at me!" mission toy, get a marauder.

You can use them for some missions (those without activation gates). But keep in mind unless you plan to burn fuel jumping systems, you'll want to leave it parked in the same system and only use it when you get a mission in that system. I have a friend that will use one, mostly for kicks, in missions like the blockade.

dread is kind of a worse idea. Carrier would be better.
The problem however obviously is the gates. You cant use them.
What you can do is the encounter missions. You can warp right on in.
Lvl 5s are primarily encounters thusly allowing carriers also.
The problem with this obviously is pirates and such as per low sec and 0.0

Here are some of the problems you will face:
1. Cannot enter high sec, so you are forced to run missions in low sec or 0.0. 2. Cannot jump to different systems on it's own. You must have an alt or someone else set up a cynosural field in the destination system and jump to that. This also uses up fuel, which means that every time you need to do a mission in another system to the one your based in you use money just moving. 3. Because you're in low sec, and because you cannot move easily on your own, you're going to be a massive, massive target to any pirate in the area. Carriers are easy to lock down for any group of pirates with the tiniest bit of sense. 4. You cannot use activation gates, which means that you can only do missions that don't involve you going into deadspace. 5. If you actually get into the mission you'll probably end up doing it quicker and more safely in a Raven than you would in a carrier. It takes years to lock anything for a start, and lets not even think about what happens if you have to move anywhere to pick up some loot to complete the mission.
Conclusion: Carriers suck for missions.

Except for lvl5s. But those missions suck anyway. Doing lvl5s were a lot easier to do solo with a carrier and most of the missions were encounters. But considering the reward, i wouldnt even bother undocking in a carrier for those missions. ______________________________________________________________

Reward for level 5 missions was kinda ok, worth about 84 mill for the one I did (carrier solo with alt salvaging) but sitting around in 0.4 going, hmm I wonder if anybody is scanning for 2 and a half hours is not an experience I will ever repeat.
