Wasn't sure where to post for implants, so i choose module forum.
My question is what exactly needs to be hunted to find certain implants
Personally I'd liek to find snake and rouge implants.
Do snakes only drop from serpentis, or is pure random.
And when an implant does drop, what determines the grade/quality of it.
Is that random also?

I've gotten low grade halo implants off Domination rats in the past and low grade slave implants off True Sansha rats. I don't really understand how the mechanics of it work but from my understanding every time a spawn appears in a belt theres an x % chance (very small) of having a faction rat appear (eg a Domination instead of an Angel). The loot on the faction rat is good but pretty random (anything form an implant to a control tower bpc or a high meta level item eg. domination mwd or similar). Ratting for implants seems a waste of time. If you have good exploration skills you may be able to find complexs with officer rats in it but the high level complexes are extremely difficult to do solo (if not impossible).
Easiest way to get the implants is probably to do missions for the pirate factions and buy the implants with LP, Serpentis have a few stations in Curse, but good luck not getting ganked. I've never met anyone who regularly runs missions in 0.0, but I'm sure it's possible.

T2 Implants are, in effect, faction gear.
Where ever you have the chance of a faction drop there's the chance it'll be an implant.
Crystal - Guristas - Dread Guristas & up
Halo - Angel Cartel - Domination & up
Slave - Sansha Nation - True Sansha & up
Snake - Serpentis - Shadow Serpentis & up
Talisman - Blood Raiders - (can't remember what the Blood Raiders faction rats are called).
The quickest route to a full set (other than buying it) however is to run missions for the faction in question and buy them from the LP Store.

this one time in syndicate, i found a shadow serpentis vice admiral, it dropped a snake omega (not low grade). I became a billionaire that day
