Hey Everybody!
I would like to know if there is camera scripting that is for the public.
I would like to have our productions office make a movie of EVE-Online and need any tips and tricks to use for EVE Video Recording.

1) There is a video section, which would be far more appropriate for this question.
2) As far as I'm aware there are no scripts that allow you to do anything with the ingame camera. Creating one I would imagine is against the EULA and would therefore get you a ban.
There are advanced camera options that can be turned on in the game, but you have to use them manually as you cannot automate anything.

I've always wished for a separate client/program purely for movie making.
If we can have a log server thingy log everything that happens, surely we can save that info to another file. Then simply boot up the EVE-movie client, dump the data in, and you'd have a cinematic recreation of whatever you recorded, absent the vast vast amounts raw fraps footage.
Plus, if done right, you can pause, move the camera around etc etc to get the best shots possible.
Or, to hell with recording fights, just have a client able to drop and scrip things in the even universe. Like a Gary's Mod for EVE.
Hopefully something like this might turn up with ambulation...after all, see what Gary's Mod has done for the half life series.

I wish they would make something like that available on say the test server or something, that way people can use it to make videos and there wouldnt be an issue with increased lag, exploiting, etc.

What I would like is the ability to record replays. Both for tactical review (it's very difficult to get a tactical overview when you're in battle and worrying about all the other stuff. Like killing and not being killed) and the ability to produce videos from the replays.
Preferably with some sort of movement smoothing to compensate for lag.

Many years ago I was running a TFC clan and there was a program called HLTV that people could join and watch matches from any players POV or from anywhere in the map.. If you recorded the match then you could replay it and switch between players or float around the map. If it was doable back in the early 00's then surely something like that for EVE wouldn't be impossible?
