Hi all, been doing some T2 invention and manufacturing lately with some modules, but now i want to move on to ships.
I am interested in making everything for T2 ships, including the parts from moon goo. I feel that just buying the parts to build them is not as cheap as buying the moongoo straight up.
So to that end, is there a tool that would allow me to punch in a T2 ship i want to build, and it will show me the amount of various moon goos i will need to make it? EveHQ. Specifically the Prism module.
Edit: Prism doesn't actually drill down all the way to the base moon goo items, only the final reaction.
ex. It will tell you that you need xx amount of titanium carbide but not how much base titanium is required to react to make it.
However, the PoS Manager plugin does have a reaction manager which should be able to do that for you. My install is bugged right now so I cannot check. |

Well, it's all time. If you don't care about how long it will take to make, then sure...make everything from moon goo. But it would take you quite a bit of time to make say a T2 frigate.
You need access to the reactions, all the reaction base materials to get to intermediate reactions, then do the advanced reactions. Not to mention a POS to make all of them, which isn't cheap. Say you spend 500mil in a month just doing reactions, you need to factor that into your cost. Sometimes those reactions won't be profitable and you would lose isk anyway.
My advice would be not to waste your time. There are far too many variables to consider if you are just trying to save some isk. You probably won't come out ahead anyway since the market fluctuates so frequently. Much easier to buy the advanced materials and build them. It will still take you some amount of time to do plus you need to find a ship that will make you some isk anyway.
The only way I would suggest to do this is if you are in 0.0 and want to do your own production there, which is still a pain since you need to ship in datacores and you still run into all the problems with doing multiple reactions.
If you want to look at another program, mine is my sig. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

T2 ship market is a bit up and down these days. As always.
Volume is key to survival but volume is also a risk as these things don't move so fast that you can't be caught by the market doing its thing.
Good luck. |

Yeah not lookin to build and sell, rather than build and use for me and my corp. I do like to do everything i can in that regard, i have the time and isk to do the reactions and import everything i need etc.
I haven't seen a tool that would tell me the minimum amount of moon goo that i need though, so i went ahead and made a spreadsheet (a real basic one) for making a Vaga. Will work on it to include other T2 cruisers The Apostle : I want a kangeroo Captain Kirk : Silly Austrians Sarmatiko : Let me guess: you're from US? Captain Kirk : Yeah Riverside IA - why? |

hey m8, I haven't seen a tool or spreadsheet that tells me the minimum amount of moon goo needed to make a tech 2 ship, but I will tell you this though, hopefully all your tech 2 ship components bpos are at least 10/10. If your have Product Efficiency 5, then the amount of materials is at it least. Unless you can live to be 1,000 years old and actually do ME to 10,000 (I seriously doubt it will even lower the amount needed anyway) but bpos at 10/10 do it for me. |

Ive actually just finished making a spread sheet that descrbes this, or rather almost finished, i still have to figure out how to do jf, but i have the entirety of t2 ships listed, with a ME calc (cribbed from Akita T's excellent Eve Master Sheet)
When i figure out the JF (or give up on that for the time being) ill find a way to publish it.
give me a week and it should be somewhere. |
