With all the nanophelia going on let us discuss this ,please... There are rumors of certain Abaddon set-ups tanking and surving 1 vs small blobs. MOM's are that setup's only weakness?

Yes :D abaddons are indeed the sex. + they look beautiful too.. and lets face it, how many other ships can have a 670k hp buffer and STILL do 600dps+ :P (bait ftw?) oh, and set one up for gank, 8 t2 tachs for example.. and err, well needless to say it hurts. a lot

Can be fitted for awesome tank OR gank, has cap problems , high range along with a full rack of 8 turrets and is slowest BS ive ever seen. very sexy ship...i also like the graphics of pulse lasers and the ship model (great job @ CCP) overpowered? it has its weaknesses as any other BS and excels at different strategies. fine and balanced. in small ops its very risky to call the abaddon as primary target...could be insanely tanked and you will lose precious time getting it down. in larger gangs the resist bonus in armor tanking is highly valuable for any kind of remote repairing (more efficient) because the abaddon is mostly plate fitted for these types of gang. very flexible ship...but i wont use it as a fleet sniper though. But when i started to play and chose Amarr, everyone told me to pick Caldari/Gallente/Minmatar, Amarr sucks badly and is Eve on hard-mode. This was the majority in public channels and forums about eve. So the Abaddon can't really be overpowered if Amarr sucks in general, can it?

Oh well it falls about 50 dps short as far as gank setups / plated setups go, and has a bit weaker of a tank.. BUT, it's almost a 1/3 the price. So if you want to burn up almost 100mil moar flying an Abaddon. Go ahead. Atleast that's how my plated / gank setups go, my Abaddon setup is about 1150dps, and the geddon is about 1100, iirc.

I would disagree, its slow, It has SERIOUS cap problems and well the cap problem is really a big problem.... As long as engagements are short, and few and far between, and the pilot has maxed out cap skills, yeah its a good ship. If the pilot is low on sp in both gunnery and cap, or the engagements are drawn out and close battles .... there ab is going to go down. My 2 cents. EDIT: I would argue the Megathorn is a much better ship. In blasterthorn mode it has incredible gank, in sniperthorn mode it is a very good fleet ship. Doesnt fit dude :P Ok after 6 years of training maybe , but still no 670k buffer Best I can EFT warrior is 260k. I agree though, Abaddons are indeed sex, but by no means invulnerable.
