I have a question regarding the Shield Compensation skills.
Do these skills affect Invulnerability Fields or just damage specific hardeners/amplifiers?
Any information is helpful.
Thanks

The affect invul fields the same way as they do damage specific hardeners (which is different from the way they affect amplifiers). That said, the effect of these skills on active hardeners is quite useless.
Check my thread explaining these skills for details.

Thank you for linking your post, Estel, it has helped me understand the resistance bonusses better.
So, basically, there isn't much point training up these shield compensation skills if I am using Invulnerability Fields?

If you're using active hardners, no, there's not a lot of point.
Resistance Amps = Passive
Hardners / Invulns = Active --

Only time theyre useful with an active tank is when the active hards are turned off, such as when you get NOSed/neuted, in which case its better than nothing (having the skill at lvl 4, which is commmon, makes a turned-off active hard the equivalent of a 20% passive hard)

Err
Ok Compensation skills ONLY work with the module is NOT active.
So if you have an active hardener, the skill bonuses only work if you arent using it. (Notice the 1% bonus when not active on the info screen? Thats what get boosted, not when its active)
Same with passives, but with a bigger boost, and you uh, cant activate them.

While I have no use for the shield compensation skills, I greatly benefit from the armor compensation skills.
Energized adaptive nano membrane II, jumps from 20% to 25% on all types of damage.

Only takes 7 hours to train all 4 sheild comp skills to level 2. Getting that extra bit out of the passive amps when you do use them doesn't hurt. Not worth the training time to take them higher then level 2 for most people tbh.

I see no reason to only train them to 2; if you use amplifiers they're worth getting to 4.
