So, you guys at CCP need a reason for dual monitors? How about a tech demo for ambulation? Seeing the pod from the inside on one screen, with a modified UI to make it look 3D (on the left) and a pod/ship flying around on the other.
The way I see it this leads to some interesting things:
- Non RP Ambulation use
- Dual monitor setups now = profit
- Windowed mode would get looked at, revamped.
- simple (sort of) way of doing this, ie not having 20 windows open at once
The way i see it working is one window will have the pod. This view is optional. the other would have the world. the ui would be available in both, and be toggle-able. Closing say, Local in one window will open it in the other.
Things that would cover your screen (Map) would go to the "pod" screen. When getting out, your screens would sorta reverse. Your "pod" screen becomes the main screen and a view a of your ship is secondary.
Thoughts and additions are very welcome!

What i think should happen with the dual monitors is your main monitor show the normal view and your secondary monitor show the inside of your ship and when so the inside of your pod.

Yar, you are technically in a pod all your career as i understand it.
the idea is to represent a uniform environment that is somewhat easy to render and is welcome in the lore. seeing holograms in the amniotic fluid of one's "egg" seemed reasonable to me.

I like to believe you are sitting inside of your ship and when your ship is blown up you are ejected from your ship in an emergency escape pod that forms around you and puts you on life support to help sustain you from any possible injuries.

sadly,no,you are inside a pod with your mind interfaced in the pod`s and ship`s structure, alltho the pod has standard controls located inside supposedly as per story, you can get outside the pod if you want in most cases, just some individuals minds will stay "locked" in the state you use in the pod,so they no longer control their body, but still can function in the pod
i agree that having the ability to see the inside of the pod with controls interface would be nice, but make it optional? ------------------------------------------------ When you get to the end of your journey, everything that really matters is the journey itself. |

You are suspended inside a pod filled with some kind of goo thing, mind interfacing with the ship computer. Only reason to ambulate that would be to make plug-suit p*** movies. ---
