Is it possible to determine the Structure Hit Points that a ship has by using the item database here on www.eve-online.com? Or would I have to write them all down from in game? ( Building my own Ship Fitting Tool, being a bit lazy about it... )

I'm certain it's available in the item database, but... probably the easiest way to go would be to steal from EFT.
I would like to know more about your (upcoming) program, if you don't mind?

It wont be anything fancy, that I will tell you. If you want something pretty, I think there is at least 2 out already that will look better.
It will be web based so that it can be edited on the fly, and although it may look basic, it will hopefully be the most accurate tool available, and probably available sooner than any other tool's current Update rate.
I will be making a prototype in excel, I have dabbled with it a bit, Easy part will be uploading all Ship type and base attributes, hard part will be adding item modifications with multiple use penalties and on top of that adding skill restrictions and limitations. However, it gives me something entertaining to work on while I train my skills :)
No name for it yet, open to suggestions :P
ANYWHO, I looked in the item database and I didn't see a hard number for structure points...

ccp release their database after major changes, thats where you want to get all your info from. cant remember where you find it but it should be on this site somewhere. i think its in csv format so you can suck it up into any database you like. Because sometimes you just have to go back to your roots: [2005.02.20 01:08:03] (combat) Your Civilian Light Electron Blaster perfectly strikes Serpentis Smuggler, wrecking for 20.3 damage |

Take the structure HP from www.eve-wiki.net (seems to be more accurate than item database, sadly add an extra 25% to account for having the skill Mechanic to V (which, considering its a prereq for almost all tech 2 ships and so many pvp-necessary mods, you should have) and there you go.

Heh, thanks, I will just use the base structure, I will add the ability to account for players skills later. ( Saves me the work of trying to go back and change all the values. ) I looked around and I highly doubt anyone will be interested in my tool but me >.< *shrugs* Ah well ^_^

After thinking about it, it doesn't really matter how much work it is, It gives me something to do and keep myself busy. Its nice having a tool that I understand. I might just keep it as Excel and leave it at that lol.
