Note, he's fitting light blasters, not medium ones, so thta would fit rather well.
OP, not the best fit in the world, but it's a start. Drop the ECM for a web, that will be much more useful in blaster range.
Thoraxes generally don't have enough cap to run a repper and actually shoot anything. My suggestion to you would be to drop the MAR for an RCU and fit medium sized guns. You'll have the same amount of buffer since you wouldn't have been able to run that repper for very long anyways and you'll do a lot more damage since your ship's damage bonus will apply to your new guns. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

Hi,
Solo in a rax is not very an easy task , blob and ecm everywhere
But i use this setup DCII MARII EANMII MagFieldStabII EANMII
MWD WEB Scramble
Light Neutron II with NULL coz void kill your range
And 5 hammerhead II.
Certainly not the best fit in space, but it works for me
And sorry for my bad spelling :)

Is this any better then?
[Thorax, Thorax 1600mm] Damage Control II Beta Reactor Control: Reaction Control I Energized Reactive Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
'Langour' Drive Disruptor I Warp Disruptor II 10MN MicroWarpdrive I
Regulated Electron Phase Cannon I, Antimatter Charge M Regulated Electron Phase Cannon I, Antimatter Charge M Regulated Electron Phase Cannon I, Antimatter Charge M Regulated Electron Phase Cannon I, Antimatter Charge M Regulated Electron Phase Cannon I, Antimatter Charge M
Hammerhead II x5
Puts out 244 DPS and is a fairly snug fit with Engineering, Electronics, Weapon Upgrades 5, and Advanced Weapon Upgrades at 4.

I'd suggest something along these lines (even if it is a bit traditional)
800plate Suitcase II (dmg control) 3 Magstab IIs
MWD Web 20km point
3 electron blaster IIs 2 ion blaster IIs
5 Hammerhead IIs or 5 EC-600s
P.S Use Caldari Navy Antimatter :D

Edited by: Shintoko Akahoshi on 20/05/2008 06:15:16 I consider the Thorax to be a "death and/or glory" close range blaster deathmobile, really. Any kind of tank can't be maintained, while any tank will really hurt your ability to do damage. If you have the skills for it, a t2-fitted gank-thorax works really well for pvp:
High 5 t2 ion blasters Mid 10mn MWD Web 7.5km scram (20, if you can fit it) Low DCU II 3 mag stab II last slot = whatever you feel like/can fit
With faction ammo, you'll see at least 450 dps, not including your drones. You'll have very nearly no tank, but your damage really becomes your tank. If you have a small gang of, say, 4 of these things, you'll be doing at least 1800 dps. And if everyone carries EW drones, you're golden.

I used to use a 1600mm thorax, nice ship and all, got some really nice fights.
Then I found the 1600mm vexor which is just better.
Nowadays I stick ions/neuts on my thorax and use it for gang work.
