I suppose it might be handy, though pretty expensive compared to just mounting a small remote hull and remote armor repairer. For deep behind the lines pvp combat with drone ships I can see the attraction. Well, I've said my piece - wait, is that Veldspar over there? Woot! |

Cool not many reads but no negative responses so far it must be a neutral issue for all races and play styles yay me.

It makes sense. Recall drones. They have armor / structure damage. You "offline" your drone bay (can't launch drones). Right click, repair drone, wait.... wait...., drone fixed, online drone bay (1 minute process), tada! Fixed drones.

I like any way to repair/replace drones, mostly in non-Gallente ships.
Gallente ships can easily mount wave after wave of drones, but most other races have to pick and choose what to bring far more carefully. It's kind of annoying to have to fly off, dock, undock, to add in drone(s) when one or more accidentally gets popped by an unexpected spawn.
It would be nice to be able to have spares in cargo, and once combat ended, transfer one or two to drone bay. Say, if nothing is targetting you and you're not getting shot at.
The main issue: people whine about it massively overpowering Gallente ships. Something along the lines of "they could do it at any station or POS hangar anyways, yet somehow non-combat drone bay refilling would make Gallente unstoppable" with just drones...

Well, for armor repairs it's pretty easy. You can either have a couple armor rep drones, or a remote armor rep. You can recall an uninjured drone, and send out a repper. Then send it around the injured drones until everyone's better. I'd suggested the other day, that Repair Drones should have an "aggressive" setting as well. Where they seek out damaged drones or possibly even damaged fleet mates, and automatically repair them rather than wait for you to target and assign them.
Hull is harder, so I'd suppose the Nanite Paste would work. However, I think another approach could be to allow your own armor and hull rep modules to work throughout the drone bay. You'd have to recall the drones, and then you run the reppers. Make the effect only 5% of the amount your ship would be healed, so it wouldn't be an instant heal.
