Triksterism Gallente Image Not Found	Posted - 2008.05.20 16:37:00 - [1] Something my corp and a few other corps have run into occasionally in lowsec is people whining about caps. The most common complaint is "Waahhh! We wanted a fair fight!!" when they obviously were not looking for such (with backup in the next system). Seriously, when we're getting attacked in our HOME SYSTEM, yes, we're going to use all the force we have access to. There is no 'honor' in our piracy, there will be no 'honor' in our combat. We play for fun, we play to win. Thus, I present you with a chatlog from last night. Some tough guys from Placid came on trucking down to good 'ole Sahtogas during our assault of a noob pos in Haras. They attacked our cyno-out guy in Sahtogas so we jumped the Chimera and Archon right on top of them, *****ing ensued blah blah but we went back to business on the pos. Later, after the pos popped, many of our group logged (about 3~4am EST), the rest of us went back to Sahtogas to find the ruffians were back. We engaged. THEM: Megathron, Rokh, Scorpion (Tank fit) US: Raven (Station camp fit--HP), Raven (same fit--pure HP and resists), Megathron, and (later) Archon We popped their Scorpion (bad decision to primary) I lost my Raven. Then came the storm-o-smack in local. Try to keep in mind my guys (Nail & Nabe) were tired and irritated with these guys, so annoyance was our goal with them. ---------------------------------------

On our way home we stopped by again. I aggressed your raven outside the station. You undocked a 2nd raven, mega and archon as my 2 corp members landed out of warp. Your dps was pathetic and the only reason you got a kill is because this is Nuets Online and they kill anything. You lost a raven to 2 dps battleships with a carrier there for logistics. Oh and btw we came back knowing you would undock carriers even though you said you wouldn't. I guess there's just some people out there that have to use caps to compensate for their lack of skill in pvp in an even engagement.

We came in thinking "they will probably undock a carrier or two again". We figured since we told you we would come back to have a nice fight that you would go on your word of leaving caps out of it. I mean the last thing I want to do is go roaming with the "emergency button" and hot drop a battleship gang when I know we are capable of beating on our own. Put those 2 pilots in battleships and you might have got 1 kill last night instead of losing 7 ships and getting nothing. I know little to nothing of the second engagement by the way. I believe that was mostly DYK. You're forgetting the main point of the thread. It was to point out how I was taken aback by the unecessary smack in local after a tie. We've heard a lot of ***ing about caps in lowsec, talk of honor, fair battles and the like and it's all silly. You brought up fair fights, boasting about how you nearly always engage when the numbers are not in your favor and then to prove it, you ran because of 'eyes' falcon and a guardian wasn't going to engage where you guys had planned to attack (gate / station) ---------------------------------------

We were in opposite timezones so no real fights happened, a gank here or there or occasional 1 vs 1, but I remember the level of smacktalk they usually provided us with, saying it was base or low doesnt describe it very well. It was based around making fun of our geographical position (they demonstrated a rather poor knowledge of it's details tough) and threats of reelecting William Clinton to "bomb us again". There were also some aggressive views on our recent history spoken out loud, altough it seemed to me they mixed some stuff up since it didnt make much sense. Terms such as Eurotrash were pretty common as well. It was general concensus that they are in early teens which would excuse that type of behaviour until someone found the killboard website with member profiles. Was funny as hell.

So there IMA was now camping the station in a damnation and a bs, so just for ** and giggles an old friend of mine decided to help out by returning the favour of dropping carriers on them like they did to me. Warped to the station, engaged the -10 Damnation, the Raven aggressed alongside the Damnation, and my pretty armageddon was starting to go down rather fast. Just as I was entering structure, my gangmates show up in a carrier and a bs or two, with IMO undocking another Raven and perhaps another ship. Didn't really pay attention at the numbers as I was pretty busy trying to keep my ship in one piece. The carrier remote reps me, the fighters started pounding one of the Ravens together with the rest of our 4 man gang. It died fast, the other raven and damnation were able to dock unfortunately. All in all, repaid IMA with the favour of dropping carriers on a lone bs, we killed one Raven with losing only ammunition. I know, whooo, we killed one bs, it's not really a big deal, but it's the principle that matters . They will think twice now before dropping caps on my sorry ass, next time they might lose more than one raven. No hard feelings though, we chat casually in local, as life is though in EvE and ** happens, no need to get all worked up from losing a ship. No smack whatsoever, just some friendly banter. In my opinion, IMA shouldn't complain about dropping caps though, as they've done it themselves.
