So I just have a quick suggestion with something that has become an annoyance to me lately.
I've recently gotten into some lite production and had a friend of mine give me some Blueprint Copies (full run) of some ammo that I could start out building. Everything was going fairly well so I decided to buy my own originals as the copies were starting to run out. Once I got the originals I promptly made sure to research them up and ran into my annoyance. From within the interface there is no way to tell whether a Blueprint is a Copy or an Original. You have to right click and show into to check and see. Now this isn't an issue but when you have say 5 - 10 full copy runs of a blueprint as well as 1 original it becomes very time consuming and frustrating to go through all the blueprints to figure out which one is the original and which is the copy.
So my proposal is that you put a C on the copies in the inventory screen and an O on the originals. At the very least make it so that they are easily distinguishable.

This idea gets posted about once a month for the last few years. It's a technical limitation due to how CCP coded item database. They can't give them different icons. Maybe they can give them a different name or something but since they've never done so I'm assuming they would have to rewrite the database.

Wow that sucks, maybe they could just make the copy or original option show up in the list view instead of a new icon. they already can show amount and other things like type, just add another column and have it show copy/original

that only help i can give you is to use your sci and industry tab. it shows original / copy and (i think) you can drag from that window to a can. i know for sure you can "deliver to member..." if it's a corp hangar. that's the only way i've found to sort bpc from bpo when they get mixed

The problem is, that a copy and an original are both the same item type. There's a value for runs that says something like -1 for originals and a positive value for copies. Value zero gets destroyed by the program. That's all the difference between blueprint originals and blueprint copies. Icons are assigned through the item type. And as there won't be any new types for copies (at least I don't know of any plans to change that) there won't be the possibility to change the item for copies. --- "Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind." -Terry Pratchett |
