Hi everyone,
I am new to EVE and online gaming, just want to add that this game is brilliant :)
One area that I am having difficulty with is the terminoligy that is used, is there a central place for all EVE/Online gaming terms:
ftw
4tw
4tl
troll
fail
wtf (actually i think I know what this means)
obvious troll is not obvious (or something like that)
Plus a host of others!

ftw = 'for the win', signifying that you approve of something. It's somewhat synonymous with 'this totally rocks!'
Example: 'Blasterthron dps ftw!'
4tw = The same, just replacing the 'for' with a '4'.
ftl/4tl = 'for the lose', was invented as the opposite of ftw.
troll = someone who makes bogus posts to mock those that fall for it, or incites flamewars to mock those that take a game far too seriously in the troll's opinion.
obvious troll is obvious = a variant of an internet meme originating from 4chan, generally holds the format of '<adjective> <subject> is <adjective>'. Because it is a completely redundant statement, it is sometimes used in sarcastic reply to especially stupid or content-lacking posts, though the general majority doesn't understand that and uses it because it makes them feel original if they can come up with a new variation.

ftw means for the win, 4tw is the same as ftw, 4tl is the same as ftl and the opposite of ftw
trolls are sometimes obvious and then they are obvious
wtf is ftw backwards, but mostly it's an expression of surprise and disbelief (what the f...)
finally fail is what I do at explaining this
