Well, to be fair according to the Eve cannon, the caldari military started out as single man fighters during the Caldari - Gallente War. At some point the Gallente's devloped viable drones and were able to overcome the fighters advantages (thus the reason for gallente drone superiority), so the caldari's developed frigates. At another point Jovians gave capsule technology to the other empires (or perhaps just the Caldari, I read the story long ago when I was first downloading the game) making it possible to reduce the crew on frigates to just one in most circumstances.

the rokh is so small i think it fell off your diagram... its not even listed, so whats up with that?
It's not my diagram, that's the eve ship comparison chart that was released BEFORE the rohk came out. I used it as an example of the fact that caldari battleships are notoriously small anyway.

Edited by: Hanneshannes on 21/05/2008 16:48:51 The rokh is the largest caldari BS with about 1000 meters in length, I think. The raven is about 750 long and pretty much the same wide.
I'll see if I can find that picture.

LOL, have you ever tried to place a Raven at the side of a Machariel?
Then we absolutely can say the Raven is even more smaller .

Edited by: Illrae Pyou on 21/05/2008 18:45:09 Shouldn't Minmitars be the slow ones? They're the ones who make ships out of metal scraps and duct tape. They should come apart going that fast.

Nah Duct Tape is how they make T2, T1 is stuck together with Scotch tape.

I think Caldari have smaller ships because they have low armour - all the other races have armour tank, and hence their ships all bloat up in mass. Caldari, as savvy shield tankers, don't need all that extra tritanium protection.
