Getting status unkown after applying latest patch. is the server running ok?

I've been getting the status "unknown" all day too and the game won't connect, even now. I even tried adding the IP in the shortcut like the sticky said but it didn't change anything. |

Try running a tracert and see if your getting packet loss or hung up. Currenty sisi is live with 313 players. |

At about 23:30 or something the test server went down for it's usual one hour down time. Since it is the test server, that usual one hour downtime tends to strectch a little.
Have no fear, it will be up again soon (tm)

That was from about 6 hours ago. Dont think it was related to this DT period.
I did hear that there was a 20 min warning out of the blue, immediatly follwed by the 5 min countdown though. Was that an express 20 min, or was the guy that was supposed to push the 20 min warning button stuck on the crapper, and couldnt hit it till 5 min before?

To follow up on my own post, it seems one of my security programs has a segment that runs in the background managing your programs even if you don't have the main program running. This causes problems because instead of asking whether to allow a changed program to access the internet, the firewall running in the background just silently refuses to allow it to connect without asking. I fired up Zone Alarm and the issue went away.
