Originally by: Alex555 some time ago an UNKNOWNipo starter or a bond issuer had to prove that he can make gold out of air, but now a WELL-KNOWN & HIGHLY RESPECTED player stands up and say i want to raise 50 bln and the only thing that i can garantee is 15 bln to cover some unexpected losses. but what about the rest plus interest?
Seems fine to me.

good for you. i have some other thoughts.
in one thread i read about players who make zillions in a month and in the next post i see them agreeing on investing some billions in a project with loosy return. I don't see a logic here

I'm investing cos I can take my money out of ebank and put it in this for much better return. I'm not going to be using that cash for anything else so, given that and Ray's rep I figure, why not? --------------------------------------

This will be interesting so see how many people take money out of Ebank to get a better return with ray.
Will Ebank be forced to offer high rate bonds in future?
Will Ebanks functionality (website) and service be trumped by Ray's reputation?
Interesting storyline.

hehe we can afford for people to easily take out the 50b from their EBANK accounts in order to pay for this and frankly why wouldn't they? EBANK is designed as somewhere to put your cash whilst you wait for a warmer place. Ray is offering that warmer place.
I can confirm however that around 12b has been withdrawn from EBANK today likely as a result of this (a few depositor's faces I just actioned withdrawals for).
So it's perfectly fine. We know when this bond is up if there's nothing else available you guys will likely come back to EBANK and again sit your isk here until another better option comes up.
We definetly work towards customer retention but not isk retention. If you have 100m or 10b in EBANK you are valued just the same. We love you all

agreed, at the end customers like me have to balance our portfolio. all my spare cash sits on eve-bank waiting for a good opportunity. at least with eve-bank, i can take it out anytime i want to when i see an interesting deal.
last time i had to liquidate my ships, etc. to be able to get into a good deal, and tat cuts into profits.
eve-bank still gets my thumbs up for fast transactions, daily interest rates and a cool webbie interface that allows me to launder *backspace* *backspace* *backspace* *backspace* *backspace* uhh... manage my ISKs between alts =)

I think you're misunderstanding something here. The 15b are assets I or a third party will liquidate should I not make interest payments for some reason. There is a two month time-frame on this. The 50b raised from this bond will be tied to assets which can be liquidated to repay the capital.
Originally by: Alex555 moreover what is the loosy return of 4.5%.
I don't understand loosy. Google translate returned zero results.
Originally by: Alex555 Ray, tell me the truth, what are u gonna do with the isks?
I appreciate you thinking we're on a first name basis, but it's Mr McCormack to you.
Originally by: Alex555 but i'm just against a trend of lowering return and then whining about stagnation on the secondary market.
What do you think the average return based on ISK value across all public bond and share issues has been over the past 4 years?

With the pending reserves the bond is now fully subscribed. You can continue posting reserves but please send no more ISK unless I contact you to offer someone else's place.
For those of you with outstanding reserves, please send the ISK by no later than the 25th. Let me know if you won't be so I can accept one of the later reserves. Thanks.
