Agony Unleashed Agony Empire

I have a couple questions about alliances:
1) Given that Agony Unleashed is the executor of Agony Empire, if we allow two more corporations to join the alliance, can they evict Agony Unleashed out of Executor position? In other words can they hijack the alliance?
2) Can the executor of an alliance throw out a corp from the alliance at any time?
Thanks in advance.

Make and alt corp and have it join the Alliance and figure it out. of, you are too lazy to do that - then the answers are, of course, No and Yes. But if you just take the answers without testing, and lose your alliance, don't come back to CAOD and cry about it, mmkay? |

Try posting a real answer to a post for once instead of being a crap poster who continually makes posts of no value...

You're a jerk. Try giving a real answer.
Rells, I'm not certain, but I think the executor is key. They can't force you out nor put you aside. -----------------------------------------------

only thing could be the voting system, but if u have 50+% shares i guess noting will happen
2) i think is the same like expel a member from a corporation, with that 24 hours time delay
but you can search the forum and ask one of that ppl who sell the service for alliance creation.
btw would be interesting to know , how much alliances wouldn't exist without these service^^

Edited by: Darknesss on 22/05/2008 07:32:40 Potentially yes. I believe it works that if majority corps in that alliance switch their vote to another corp in the alliance you could potentially lose control. You can either avoid this by taking alt corps into your alliance which you control and making sure you always have a majority or have corps join who you really trust.
Dark
edit - but dont take this 100%, i just know each corp have a vote and can switch it, i have never seen or heard of it happen, im just guessing. |

Yes. Let's say, you have 3 corps in an alliance. Corp a is the exec of an alliance.
Corp a votes for corp a Corp b votes for corp b Corp c votes for corp b
Corp b is the new exec of the alliance

Yes |

1) This is what I understand from the knowledgebase:
Each corporation has one vote regarding who is the executor of the Alliance. At any time, the directors of that corporation can switch its support to someone else. The current executor corporation has to have the support of over 50% of all the corporations; if it loses that, it will no longer be able to function as executor, including being unable to pay the alliance maintenance fees. If a different corporation gains over 50% support, the executor will change automatically at the next downtime.
So, yes, *if* the knowledgebase is accurate, if you are in a one-corp alliance and you add two more corps, they could oust you, if one of the new corps wanted to try and take executorship and the other agreed to support them.
2) I don't know about that one.

edit: Quote: If the present executor does not have the support of more than 50% of the member corporations, he cannot act on behalf of the Alliance.

U got good anwswer that Executor corp can be changed by simply voting previus executor out - so anwswer on your question is YES
What was not corectlly anwswered is second one; u can not kick out the corp at any given time; from the moment 1 vote against executor was made and next 24h u can not kick out no one. So NO u can not kick out corp at any given time! |

You can kick a corp out when ever you want, the former leader of PA did it to one of the corps in PA alliance, one minute they where in the alliance, next they were not.... so they blew up his carrier
The rests been explained, if corp b and c both vote the same then corp a loses control. |

Yes this can happen.
If the other two corporations vote for another corp to be the executor it immediatly changes to the new corp. They can then instantly boot you out of the alliance.
This has not happened very often in eve.... It happened to us a few years ago when a few corporations got together and changed executors in the middle of the night. When we realized what happened we got one of the corps to change votes back to us and as soon as we regained executorship we booted the offenders out of the alliance.
Since then whenever a new corporation joins the alliance we add an alt corporation to protect our investments.
