Hi there.
I have never made any T2 components so I thought the only way of finding out is to ask so here goes:)
When one of the prereqs for making a T2 ship is lets say 10 "R.A.M.-Starship Tech", will that say that it will be all consumed just as normal minerals? The reason I ask this is because if you recycle the item you get all the mins back, but not the R.A.M's.

The BPC will state the percentage chance of the R.A.M. material being destroyed during production. So you might get some R.A.M. material back after installation of your T2 item into a production slot.
And as to your 2nd question. As the R.A.M. material is destroyed you won't get any of it back when you reprocess.

Got another question as we speak of R.A.M's
Are the number of these item also adjusted according to the BPO level? The higher i train the BPO the less R.A.M I need?

IÆm not sure where you are going here but first let me say that I checked Jump Freighter requirements for Ram Starship Tech. Since they use the most (40) @95% waste at both -1ME and -5 ME, I would say the answer would be NO. Researching makes no difference in Ram ûTech requirements.
With that said you understand that since no more Tech II BPOÆs are being created, they were all given out in the previous lotteryÆs, the only Tech II Blue PrintÆs being created presently are ôCopiesö and those are acquired only through invention. Tech II BPCÆs canÆt be researched. The only way to get a T2 BPO is to buy it on Contract and/or from another player.

A quick note, you can repair partially used R.A.M., it decrease the cost of building by a small percentage.

R.A.M. modules are not effected by wastage on the BPO, they always get consumed x% depending on the BPO. For the last few years if they take 40% damage, and you have 11 required (40% damage) 4 will be destroyed, and one will take 40% damage, which you can then repair.
You need to build the R.A.M modules before building the T2 BPO/C, some of them do take quite a while to build. What you get when you refine T2 modules is NOT always what was required to build T2 modules. The build requirements are listed on the BPO.

Thanks for a lot of good answers. The reason I'm asking this is because I try to make a excel sheet for calculating the need for minerals depending on the ship.
Does this also comply to construction blocks?

I beleive construction blocks are calculated the same way as other materials. If you need a full T2 production sheet I have one....

More construction blocks are needed at higher waste levels yes, they're not the same as R.A.M. 's.

Hi Bambi,
I'm a newbie to t-2 production and if your offer extends to myself, I would love to get a copy of your spread sheet.
I don't know how you'd want to get it to me.
I can send you and evemail with my email address if this would be appropriate.
Thanks either way!!!!

EVE-MEEP is probably what you're looking for, though it has a lot of functions that you probably don't use. If you're also interested in the invention part of T2 production and the calculations that go with it, have a look at my invention calculator.
But if you're really only interested in T2 production, a specialized spreadsheet is probably the easiest to understand. Unfortunately, I do not have a link for such a spreadsheet as I just use my invention calculator for it ________ Invention profit calculator |

Hi Burchov,
I did download your calculator and will test it out later at home. I also have Evemeep, and it's nice also.
I just like all the technical stuff you all create and offer to the untalented folks like myself.
Thank You!!!!
