With the upcoming changes regarding the ETC/GTC will my 30 and 90 day ETCs that I have purchased already remain valid past the June change over date? |

Could someone answer the OP's question? I've got a pile of 50 day GTCs from a local retailer as well, until when are they valid? ***************************** Love is like a war - easy to start, hard to continue, impossible to forget. |

Because they're cancelling sale of 90d codes. Get 'em while you can :/.

hmm, $38.85 for 90 day = 43cent per day $34.99 for 60 day = 58cent per day $14.95 for 30 day = 50cent per day
BLATANT RIP-OFF, have CCP moved their HQ to UK????? between my wife and I we've got 8 accounts so this price hike will cost an extra $436 per year.
Way to go CCP, you fail at maths

All well and good I guess the price going up, however this is a massive increase.
What about the gamers who run their accounts by buying 30 day codes with ISK?
Plus they've put up the price while still having so many bugs in the game that it's getting stupid (the Overview glitch being the main one).
Way to kill off the game, CCP.

Hahahhaha.
Though to put this into perspective, it's still pretty cheap for people in the EU. Since I pay for my account with isk, I expect my costs to rise significantly, though.

^^ yeah that is a rip off, if you are billed normally on your account its only $15 a month, 60 days= 2 months = only 30 dollars, but they are selling the 60 codes for 35? not much but still, and this is kinda crap, 35$ can be alot of money for someone, how is this going to help people "pay for their games without real life money"? there going to be selling for around 350mil isk, this is bull crap

Why does two months of pre-purchased gametime cost more than the most expensive MMO subscriptions paid on a monthly basis? _______________________________ http://epicwords.net/ |

The only thing I can think of is that they're intending on actually increasing the base cost too, making eve the most expensive MMO out there. I don't think they quite realise that unique as EVE is, a lot of players would be just as happy playing some other MMO and the monthly cost IS a big decsion-making factor.

Edited by: Andrest Disch on 22/05/2008 17:16:54 Does this mean the subscription price in sterling (ú) is going up aswell?
Edit; And will subsciptions have to pay in 60day increments aswell? |

It's actually not a bad idea. If they make GTCs more expensive to use than just using your credit card, they can discourage its use and maybe cut down on the rampant RMT nonsense it facilitates. |

There is no reason EVE should be the most expensive MMO. I don't know what else to say except that I'm probably going to drop an account when it comes time to resub. _______________________________ http://epicwords.net/ |

/me buys 5 90 days from Shattered Crystal and applies them to his "main" account. /me deletes one char off his "main" account. /me waits until "alt" account has nearly expired, then moves primary sales alt to main account. /me lets "alt" account expire. /me saves money by not needing to GTC his "alt" account. /me hopes CCP is happy. They get just over 1 years cash up front (at shattered crystal rates, 90 days for the price of 60!) and don't have me funding a second acct. /me hopes to find someone to fire up the cyno...

Big factor in me playing. Since I have to live alone next year (uni) I can't afford these new prices. You may say "well it's not that much"...
You try living as a student today... then come back to me.

Because maybe they want to discourage the use of game time codes and get more people to switch to pay by credit card method. Maybe they are finally moving towards getting rid of the game time codes and stamping out that RMT avenue for good. Good riddance I say.

I foresee hundreds of students stopping playing then.
