It's probably related to what kind of computer you have but I'm assuming the new client handles large groups of ships better than the old one. Does anybody have any experience with this?

Audus Manus	Posted - 2008.05.22 15:01:00 - [3] totally depends on ur rig. i got dual core, 2gb DDRII RAM and a 8800GTS card and its nice and smooth even with about 50 people (obvious lag server-side though).

Most of the time in big fleet combat you're zoomed out anyway, so the models don't really make that much of a difference. I find the biggest performance hits come with the high-detail shadows and HDR.
